Stripped membranes

I hope it' sok to post this here...I justg figured I'd ask the people who most recently had babies.
So, did anyone have their membranes stripped and did it work? If it worked, how long did it take for labor to start?

They stripped my membranes with my oldest to get things moving, but it didn't work for me. I was told it works the majority of the time, though. Just not for me.

Same here. And brace yourself...it really is uncomfortable!

 

I lost my mucus plug the morning of my apt; then at my apt, they stripped my membranes. That was Friday afternoon. On Monday morning (early -- like 2 am), my water broke and we had kiddos by 11am on Monday.

My doc stripped membranes at 37 weeks and I was induced at 39. So, it didn't work for me. I've heard it's more of a gentle push if you're ready to go into labor anyway (although the procedure itself isn't all that gentle...)

 

I had it done with ds#2 - it did not work for me either! he was born 2 weeks later

 

They stripped my membranes for me with my oldest DD and I didn't go into labor with her until 1 week later.

 

Same here, no luck. About and hour or 2 after the appointment I had contractions every 4 minutes for 4 hours and then it stopped, I was bummed.
