For a month or so now I've felt my bones in my nether regions stretching. Last pregnancy, I didn't feel any of that until the very end. Now, it is getting extremely painful to walk. Lately it's my right side only that is killing me every time I take a step or move. It is beyond painful and I have to just clench my teeth when I walk. Am I the only one who feels or has felt this pain? If so, how far along were you when you started feeling it? Does it ever get better?

Yes I started feeling that pain early on. I went to the Chiropractor when it got bad. I ended up going every two weeks through week 16 until week 30. I've gone once in the past two weeks and it helped, but not nearly as much as in the beginning. The pain feels like I've been riding a bike or a horse for days on end. Now when I sleep on my sides I make sure my upper leg is elevated way above my other leg. Then my area down there doesn't hurt as much. Other than that I'm not sure what else to suggest. Maybe someone else has some good ideas. Hope you feel better.

Oh, that's how I feel only the bad pain for me is on my left side. Are you sleeping more on your right than left side? I sleep on my left and wonder if that's why it hurts so bad there. I was feeling quite sore from stretching since about week 9-10, but the last couple of weeks have been much stronger, especially the last few days. Now it hurts my hips and knees when I sleep. I use a pillow between my legs, but I'll try elevating them more.

I feel for you - really. You are not alone. :hug99:

I try to sleep on my left. I have one pillow on each side of me, one to support my back and the other to put between my legs.

I guess it's good to hear that I'm not alone.

I switch sides every time I get up to pee! Which right now is about every two hours. That seems to balance out the pain. I just couldn't stay on my left side like suggested without feeling lopsided and sore. And yes I use pillows to prop myself on both sides.

I had this too, I can't remember when it started, but I remember how bad it hurt  Right in the middle at my pelvic bone is where it was the worst, it felt like I got hit in the hootie with a baseball....really, really painful and it lasted until the end unfortunately. I hope you can find some relief.

I've had times when I've felt the same way - it comes in waves. Right now I am in a wave ---- I feel like my bones are held together by jello. It really sucks! Plus, I don't have much of a butt (flat and wide butt) which means my padding back there is limited. Each time my pelvic bones move, I have a harder time sitting for more than a few minutes without feeling pain from my butt bones!

Just the joys of a twin pregnancy!

Ugh! This just started for me this week. It hurts to get out of bed and walk around at first. It eases up, but man, youch!! I can't imagine how it's gonna feel later on in the pregnancy. I'd been feeling great up until this point.

So from weeks 24-30 I was very good at taking my calcium/mag supplement (Natural Calm)...even though I did experience the pain you are talking about. It helped with a the BH. So the last two nights I decided I should start taking it again. And guess what, all my crotch pain and muscles down there and in my lower belly haven't hurt for two nights. I had the best sleep last night, even getting a 3+ hour stretch. Maybe this would help some of you too!!!

I've been taking extra vitamins (E, C, and calcium) besides the prenatals per doctors orders for over a week now...and I'm not getting any relief. That's not fair. ;)

I'v had pain down there since 7 weeks but excruciating pain since about 12-14 weeks which has only gotten worse. My doctor said it sounded like SPD (symphis pubis disorder). I googled it and the symptoms describe exactly what I've been feeling. It hurts so bad to get out of bed, walk up stairs, sit to go to the bathroom after lying in bed for awhile, getting dressed, trying to stand after sitting, etc., etc., etc. Unfortunately there's not much you can do except wear a belt to help take some of the pressure off of the pelvic bones. It's supposed to go away after delivery. That's one thing I'm looking forward to. I've been in pain for a looong time.
