I was wondering if I could hear stretch mark stories from everyone especially the ladies that have them real bad. I have so many at this point you can not even see skin and I use tummy butter coco butter and just bought some vitamin E lotion :( So I was wondering ( I know they will never really go away away) but do they fade so I wont be so insecure about them? I feel so gross I don't even like DH to see my belly.. I know there are more important things like healthy babies and it is superficial, but I just have them sooo bad

I had them VERY bad during my pregnancies - I mean my belly looked like I had flames of fire tatooed on it! it was awful!! now - although my belly will never be the same as my prepreg belly, I have a few stretch marks but they are really light and not really embarrassingly noticable. the place where mine are the worst now that I am not pregnant are the sides of my upper legs - they are light but I guess because the skin is tighter there, they are more noticable. From what I understand, there is not a whole lot you can do to prevent them or to make them go away! but they will lighten!

My babies were born 9 weeks ago and mine are still there and dark. I'm hoping they will go away. But with them and the hanging skin (yes, I know disgusting), no one is seeing my tummy ever again!!!

sorry you are feeling bad about the stretch marks...I totally understand :)
towards the end of my pregnancy mine got OUT of control & I was so bummed out.
now at almost 7 months later they are def. still there, but they are the same color (for the most part) as the rest of my skin.
now if I could just figure out what to do with the 'leftover' skin, like the pp mentioned! UGH! Oh well, they are our battle wounds AND badges of honor I guess :) (until I can get a tummy tuck that is!!!!)

Mine faded. I was worried that they would stand out forever, but nope. You can still see them, but they are skin color now.

They will fade, but they will not go away. They are essentially scars from where your skin tore just a little bit to make room for your babies. Once they fade, though, you hardly notice them. :)

Mine were terrible -- all over my belly and boobs. And I just yesterday noticed that the last of them had faded to white. They're still there, but at least they're not purple anymore, and you don't notice them unless you're looking for them! So, you can see from my ticker how long it took for them to fade, but it did happen. I didn't use any magic creams or anything, just faded over time.

I had them towards the end and I thought they would be so bad but now 6mo pp you cant even see them. I may be a lucky one but it is possible for them to "go away".

Some of mine appear to have gone away and some just faded. The ones on my breasts are worse than on my tummy. I could deal with the stretch marks...it was the twin skin that I didn't care for (of course, now I'm pregnant so my twin skin is currently being occupied so I like my tummy for now).
