I was just wondering (and hoping) if any of you made it through their twin pregnancy with no stretch marks on their belly. I never got any there with my first Dd and so far have none this time...but I still have around 7 weeks to go and I'm already as big as I was full term with her.

none thus far but like you hoping the final stretch doesn't give me a life long reminder! :D

I went stretch mark free with my dd but my boys destroyed my stomach. Here I am at 32 weeks (I'm not brave enough to post a pic of my belly now, though) Some women go completely unscathed.

    32 weeks 2 days

I've heard it's genetic- the amount or severity of your stretch marks. I share my twin skin stomach with my mom and my sister (each of them having had twin pregnancies)... Good luck!

I had one stretch mark from my previous pregnancies. And its barely noticable. I didn't get any new ones with twins  There is hope. It has to do with the elasticity of your skin . My mom and sister are covered in stretch marks. :(

    Good luck :)

I am twenty two weeks along and no stretch marks as of yet. I have been putting vitamin e and coco butter on my belly to try to maintain its elasticity. Hopefully, I don't get them later.

I am 25wks (measuring 30+wks) and don't have any yet, anywhere.

With my son, I didn't get them on my belly, but I had them on my boobs and hips.

I was extremely fortunate and don't have any! I had some other 'issues' however, and I think I'd have rather had the stretch marks!

That's not to say however, that my stomach looks like it did pre-twins! ;) It's not horrible, and probably with a little exercise (ha, ha!) it'll get better, but...

Same here, thought I was in the clear with getting stretch marks. I was wrong. I will never be able to wear a bikini ever again. No regrets though. :)

I'm just grateful that I have a man that still thinks of me as perfection, unlike some of my friends baby daddys.

I know some women here have reported no stretch marks after their babies were born.

That said, I had no stretch marks after my first two. I had no stretch marks during my whole twin pregnancy. After the babies were born is another story. I have never had the red marks that some get but I do have the clear stretch marks all ove rmy stomach, all which were inivsible while my skin was all stretched out with babies inside.

    Good luck!

I thought I was stretch mark free until I was walking by the mirror on my way to the shower and had to stop and back up. What's this??? Stretch marks on my behind! Uggh. I thought that wouldn't be so bad since no one's gonna see my butt anyway. Then at 34 weeks I was so happy to still have none on my belly. The very next day I broke out with them all over and they were bright red and itchy! It was terrible. I made it to 38 weeks and had a scheduled c-section. I measured about 46 weeks at the end. I am permenantly damaged now :( I have tons of marks and extra wrinkly skin and it's just awful. Oh well. Maybe I'll save my pennies for a tummy tuck some day!

I was stretch mark free until I hit 25 weeks. I put tons of stretch mark creams throughout my pregnancy. My girls are 9 months and I still have them. :(
My OB said they won't go away. Oh well. My beautiful girls are worth it. LOL!

I actually didn't get any - or didn't notice them until AFTER I had the twins. They are VERY small and you can barely see them. I dont have the 'twin skin' thing either. Just a big scar from the caeser and my belly button is higher than it used to be now lol. I think I am back to my pre pregnancy weight - or very close - all my clothes fit again. :)

I didn't get any stretch marks - but, I delivered early. I only carried Molly and Owen to 32 weeks. So happy I'm stretch mark free!!

Oddly enough I didn't get any stretchmarks on my belly, but my boobs are covered in them. I had the boys early at 33 weeks but had gained 60 lbs and I'm only 5'1" and it was almost all in my belly. I did use the Palmers cocoa butter as much for dry skin as it stretched as to prevent stretchmarks. My mom doesn't have any either. While she didn't have twins my brother weighed more than my boys put together.

I'm at 25 weeks now. So far, I don't have any. I've been putting belly butter on every day though. I never had them with my first pregnancy. I'm pretty sure I'm about that big now too. My belly gets a little tighter every day. Just keep hoping for the best!!

this is my 4th pregnancy, the other 3 were single births, and although they popped up in other places, ive yet to get any on my stomach... i still hav 8 weeks to go, so i guess anything can happen, especially since i m signifigantly larger then ever... my mom and aunt were totally covered by them, and i m a pretty tiny person, so i guess ill just keep my fingers crossed and wait it out..

Managed without any until close to 32 weeks...then they showed up everywhere (on my tummy, breasts, and hips)...I had PUPPs too and I think the scratching didn't help. They aren't too bad looking now...not red or anything...just kind of whitish/silverish. My twin skin is much more bothersome to me.

No stretch marks here after 3 babies. Of course my tummy isn't flat either, but I don't have a big pouch either.

I'll definitely be wearing one pieces or something that covers my stomach for the rest of my life. LOL

I had stretch marks before but they weren't bad. I hadn't gotten anymore up until yesterday. It looks like the "final stretch" is not going to be kind to me.

I actually got bigger with my single pregnancy than with my twin pregnancy. No stretch marks at all with the singleton and a few with the twins. It's more the "twin skin" issue now than the stretch marks. Probably can't even see the stretch marks with the pouch I have now.

    Hi Ladies,
Here's a little help to PREVENT stretch marks: ALMOND OIL.
You can get it at a vitamin store, like GNC. When you're done showering, with you body still damp, spread it throughout your body, not only on your belly (some of you may have noticed already that they may show up on your breasts or butt). Then just pat the towel, don't rub the towel or you'll get the oil off.
    OR
If you live anywhere where there's a brazilian market, ask them if they sell NATURA, it's a brand of products and they have a line that is just for pregnant women and babies, where they have a lotion to help prevent strech marks, it's what I've been using, it's GREAT and smells wonderful (but expensive)!!! Their baby stuff is great too!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

I went to 39 weeks measuring between 60 - 62 week and I just noticed my stretch marks literally start in my armpit... I just noticed this in FL a few weeks ago. I have a friend with two sets of twins and no stretch marks!

I tried many products to try and prevent it, but I got them anyways. I was huge (especially with the second set). Good luck though, I would love it if I did not have them!!!

I have none -- and I made it to 38 weeks and gained 65 pounds!

(And I used no product except my regular moisturizer - Aveeno or Lubriderm or whatever is handy).
