    Hello all,

Does anyone have advice on getting rid of stretch marks? I have them everywhere--on my stomach, upper legs, back and bottom. [IMG]
Has anyone tried laser or microdermabrasion or any creams to help lessen the damage? If so how did it turn out, please share your secrets?

    Thanks!!

The purple will fade over time. The only solution I have is to cover them up! Sorry.

I used that Mederma. It has worked some, and the purple did fade in time.

with my first son, time mainly helped the most. I don't know about now, b/c i have ALOT more this time around. hopefuly they will get better just like last time.

i used vitamin E oil. it is supposed to work well with scars and stretchmarks are alot like scars.

Ive tried everything and nothing works for me. I think it really depends on your skin though, my skin is very prone to stretch marks...even had some on my sides when i wieghed 105 lbs [IMG] Now I have them all over my stomach, boobs, arms, legs, sides...its just gross

I'm covered in them, and they've faded to silver. I don't think there's really anything you can do to make them go away. They are your badges of honor now. [IMG]

    Ditto.

I had them pre-pregnancy as well... [IMG]

I had a few stretch marks from my first two pregnancies, but I got a lot from my twin pregancy. I am on the shorter, smaller side and the night before my c-section my waist measured 56inches [IMG] So, needless to say, I am now a proud owner of a tummy and breasts full of stretch marks. I haven't found anything that really worked during my pregnancy or after to help out with them. I have been thinking about having a tunny tuck, but I am not sure yet. I want to wait and see how everything looks in a coupl of months.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you're stuck with them. During pregnancy, I got them pretty bad on my breasts and some on my hips. I have searched high and low with a "I don't care what it costs I want them gone" mentality and I couldn't find anything that actually eliminates them, at any price. Apparently, there just isn't a good treatment out there. The only thing that looks sort of promising is a new injection treatment, but it's not widely available on the market yet. Now I am just hoping they fade fast so I can stop making faces at myself when I look in the mirror.

I used Mederma and call me crazy but it worked. But TIME is what made everything firmer. The purple faded in time too, but the Mederma really helped with the width and shrinking them... but sorry to say they were never "gone" and who knows how they will go away this second time around!

Unfortunatley the only thing you can do is cover them up, or get them cut off with a tummy tuck (which I plan on doing when twins are 2 or 3)....not sure what you can do about the ones in other locations.

I just have to say, "I am thankful they are not on my face!" I don't know how I would cope with that! [IMG]

Laser treatments and certain creams can sometimes help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. A friend tried microdermabrasion combined with a retinol-based cream, and she noticed a big difference after a few sessions. Some people contact providers using simplicity laser phone number to discuss specialized treatment options. Consistency in any approach tends to help, along with good hydration and a nutrient-rich diet. Everyone’s skin responds differently, so it’s important to find a method that fits your needs and comfort level.
