Strawberries

When can you give strawberries? My twins are 10 months.

 

I started them this past weekend and they LOVED them! I had them in the fruit sucky thing (no clue what the name of the contraption is!)

 

According to a site I've used a lot http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com ... after one year.

 

Your not suppost to give strawberries until after a yr. We ended up giving them between 9-10 month, and they did just fine.

 

I gave my two the strawberries and banana gerber jar food at 7 months. They did just fine.

 

Mine had strawberries around seven months and have done fine.

 

We waited till 1 year. It probably would have been fine earlier, but I figured if some expert had bothered to make a recommendation about it, I might as well follow it.

 

My family doesn't have an allergy to them so we started them last month and they loved them! Just check out whether you or DH had any food allergies as children and go from there. Have fun!

 

We started at 9 months, the freeze dried gerber fruit mix.

 

I'd say around 10 months. We have no food allergies in our families.

My girls are insanely in love with strawberries. I go through a big Costco size container of them each week. I have to cut them off or I am not sure they'd ever stop eating them.

 

My ped told me at 10 months I could start them and we did. We didn't have any problems but you may just want to call your ped's office and get their opinion on it.
