Strange Vibrating Sensation

I am about 30 weeks now and this is my 2nd pregnancy. The last 2-3 days I've been feeling a strange vibrating sensation wayyy down near my cervix area. It's like someone is turning on one of those massagers for about 2-3 seconds and then it stops. I know Baby A's head is resting on my cervix. What could this be? It's not like hiccups rather a very fast vibration and then stops. It has happened maybe about 10-15 times in the last 2 days....

Pressure on your pelvic region: Once your baby engages, you may feel a buzzing feeling (or vibration) in your vagina as your baby moves his head against your pelvic floor muscles. Unfortunately, the pressure will also cause you to have to urinate even more often then you already have been.

Is it possible babies are dropping already? I'm just 30 weeks.....

 

Well it is possible that the one closest to your cervix is dropping just do to space constraints in the uterus. I have read that this often happens with twins, due to lack of space. I would call your doc and mention it and see what they say.

I've had that! ardon: Baby A was head down starting at 24 wks (and stayed that way) till delivery. He was waaaaaaaaaay down. Every cervical u/s, there his head would be. LOL But totally normal and everything was fine.

 

I had that too! Weird. I never said anything to the doc, I thought I was going :crazy: ! My baby A had her butt in my cervix.

 

I've SOOOOOO felt that too! I'm 31 weeks tomm and I haven't felt it in a long time BUT I had it a lot a few months ago. I always thought it was my phone buzzing with a text message only to realize, I didn't have my phone in my pocket. It's a funny feeling but I totally know what you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!

 

Really weird. It is still happening today. I have a doc appt tomorrow so I'll bring it up. I'm also getting alot of pinchy feelings down below...like wayyy down there and huge bladder kicks. I assume babies are moving down further. I suspect I'll see a difference in my cervix the next time they check. It has been consistently the same at 4"ish so I"m wondering if things are starting to change. I just thought at 30 weeks, nothing would happen yet, BUT with twins, maybe I'm wrong.

 

That is so funny! I've been feeling that for the past 2 weeks also! People say it looks like I've "dropped" but my babies are actually breech, at least since last week.

 

LOL :lol: I totally remember asking my ob if the babies could FART while they were in my belly! [for a while, I thought they were both breech when in fact they were vertex the entire time :blush: ] My ob never said what it could be, she just told me they couldn't fart and that was that..

I feel better knowing now ^_^

 

I was breech with both twins and it was their feet tickling my cervix. Such a weird sensation. You can tell it is almost a cartilage type of feeling like the cartilage in your nose. Yuck hate it.

 

I had this as well and never did tell my OB because I couldn't quite explain it! Let us know what your doctor says. :hug:
