Strange "security Blanket"

Within the past week, Jake has developed a really stange bond with... his hair brush!!! I guess it all started when I reached for something for him to hold while I changed his diaper and grabbed their brush. Ever since then he will not put it down, literally. He holds it most of the day and WILL NOT go to sleep without it in his hand. If Ben tries to steal it from him, Jake goes into complete meltdown. I am worried I am gonna lose the brush and will be SOL. It came in a basket I got for my baby shower and don't know where it was bought to purchase more. Anyway, does anyone else's little ones have a weird "security blanket" right now. Who knows maybe he wants to be a hair stylist, LOL. Hope it's just a phase.

When I was little, I developed an attachment to a feather duster! I slept with it and petted it. I didn't turn out to be a maid, or even a good housekeeper, so don't worry about your son! LOL

 

Sean loves his giraffe, and James loves this weird toy we got from a BK kids meal. It's the tall red monster from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. What can I say -- kids are strange!

They do pick some funny things. When my 3 year old ds was 1, he became attatched to his big metal toy combine, and had to sleep with it every night for about 6 months. Nothing like cuddling up to some cold, sharp metal!
