Straight Hair to Curly in a few weeks?

Hi there fellow moms - have any of you had your stick straight children start to get waves and the beginning of curls in a few weeks time? I keep looking at Caleb and thinking - this is wrong!!!! His twin has curly hair already and it's just weird. Caleb has always had paper thin, straight hair - it's changed colors and begun curling....

 

This is happening with Chloe's hair. I thought her hair was going to be like mine, fine and no hint of body. All of the sudden, her hair is curling. I am mystified, but I'm now thinking she will have come curl in her hair... and I'm excited about it.

 

It happened to one of my boys. T has curly hair from the getgo. Conner's (what he did have) was straight and looked to be fine like mine. We started letting it grow and he has huge rings of curls now. So much so that when my parents, who haven't seen them since Christmas, came to visit this week, they kept confusing the two of them! (which they've never done!)

 

I would KILL For some curl in either of mine's hair!! That's really cool!!

 

Yep, that happened here! With Renee, she had really straight hair, until she was 3-ish. And it kept getting curlier and curlier. Maybe i have a picture of the back of her head - perfect ringlets!

Jill's hair was never really straight, it allways had some what of a wave, but in the past year or so it has gotten very curly.

now i look at BJ and his is wavy as well.

 

Nikki is starting to get a wave to her hair these days. Hair can change as you age...mine was wavey but has gotten curlier the older I've gotten. I also have had my eyes change color (started out a tan hazel and are now a medium brown). Fun stuff, huh? ;-)

 

I am having that here with the twins. Josh has always had a bit of curl to his short hair but as it grows and thickens it's curling more, Katies is curling up on the ends as well

 

Hi Ladies - I failed to mention ONE thing about my situation - MY TWINS ARE ALMOST FOUR YEARS OLD!!!! This is why I am so stunned... I've always looked at Caleb as the one with stick straight, fine, wispy hair and now he has curls forming on his head - it just seems so wrong - and of course, we've always told everyone - to help them remember who was who, it's NOT Curly Caleb. It's so weird!

 

Mine are almost three..and this just happened to us within the last month..so similar situation.

One of Renee's friends had curly hair for a little while when she was a baby, and it was straight and thin until 4th grade when she started to grow it out. It has been very, very curly and very very thick since. We were talking about curly hair once in the fall and she said that hairdressers tell her that she has the most beautiful natural curl they have ever seen. Very weird!
