    Hi,

I've noticed that my babies like a lot when I look at them taking to them with eye contact. Also their ped told me to keep talking to them because this would help them to start talking early.

I would very much appreciate to receive a name of a book or a site that contains interesting stories for 3 months old baby boys.

    Many thanks in advance. :)

At that age we were reading lots of Eric Carle books and books with lots of cool sounds-

    Brown Bear, Brown Bear
    Polar Bear, Polar Bear
    Animal Sounds
    Snuggle Puppy

I second the Eric Carle books

Brown Bear and Polar Bear are the boys favorites right now!

My boys loved (and still love) rhyming books like Dr. Seuss and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. They don't really get the sense of the words, but they love the rhythm and cadence of what you're reading.

YES..... Brown Bear, Brown bear. They LOVE those books!! My neice is 3 and still loves those books. My Lo's also loved the peek-a-boo books. They loved the wooden books that had simple bright pictures and were quick reads. They now pick these books up and babble as if they are reading them. Its sooo funny!

I agree that all the Bear books by Eric Carle and Bill Martin are excellent!! My kids are in love with them. I sing it like a song and my boys will tap the pages while I read/sing.

Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you See?
Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What do you See?
Polar Bear, Polar Bear What do you Hear?
Baby Bear, Baby Bear What do you See?

My kids also like almost any song book. Itsy Bitsy Spider, 10 little Monkeys, I know an Old Lady. I teach first grade, so I have just been bringing home my song books and reading those. The Eric Carle ones are by far the favorite in this house though.

Honestly, any book is great. I signed up for several kids book clubs when pregnant with my first son, dr suess, disney, winnie the pooh. I had a fully stocked bookshelf when he was born.

Right now the best best books are ones they can chew on. Board books. I have 2 full bookshelves of paper and board books and we are always buying new ones, at walmart, book stores, for birthdays and christmas. You can never have too many books! :D

i go for rhythm and cadence, too. my favorite book right now is "duck in the truck" by jez alborough. i can almost recite it by heart. "here is a duck driving home in a truck. here is the track that's taking him back. here is the rock that's struck by the truck, and here is the muck where the truck gets stuck."

the sounds are wonderful and the babies watch my face with wide eyed fascination when i read it to them.

My babies will be 3 mths next week and I read Eric Carle books to them, such as Brown Bear, Brown Bear or Baby Bear, Baby Bear. I also read Goodnight Moon to them every night, have been since their first night in the NICU.
