Stopped "growing"?

At 26 weeks, my belly measured 37 cm/weeks...but at my last two appointments, I've been measuring the same...37 weeks...is there something wrong or did you see a hiatus in your tummy growth too??? (docs don't seem worried, though)

 

Is your doctor just measuring you up and down or also across? I've been stuck at 36 cm for two appointments, but my doctor says sometimes your belly stops growing out and starts growing wider. Apparently that is what is happening to me. My doctor isn't worried about it at all.

 

i noticed that my belly stopped growing once i passed 34 weeks and i even lost 5lbs. ends up that, indeed, my boys had stopped growing and was induced at 36w2d after my EFW US showed that both babies had fallen off their growth curves. definitely talk to your doctor about it. my doc guesses i had issues with the placentas, but we'll never know.

 

I should modify my previous post to say that my girls are growing fine. They're making room for themselves somewhere in there even though I've been 36 cm for over a month. If, like the pp, your babies aren't growing well, then that is something to worry about.

 

well my belly stopped growing around 33-34 wks as well the babies were fine at the u/s growing nicely i just think it got cramped in there-2 wks later they decided it was too cramped! weighs 5 lbs 5oz and 5 lbs 7 oz.

 

Yes, there was a period of time where I measured the same as the previous appointment. Nothing to worry about if your babies are still showing growth on the u/s.

 

:hug: There were a few weeks when I was measuring the same as well, but my doctors never worried because they were growing from what they saw on u/s. :hug:

What did your doctor say about this?

 

My doctor doesn't even measure my belly... it's like it doesn't matter or something. I don't know how big I am... I feel huge!
