Stop the Presses!

We spent the day at Mimi's house and ordered Mexican food. There was an avocado slice on my enchilada so I decided to wipe it off and give him a taste since he was being cranky and swatting the food out of my hands. Wait, a little history....I have been on what seemed like an endless quest to find a food that Caleb would tolerate other than pizza crust for almost 2 MONTHS. I've tried every brand and texture of baby food, I've made my own baby food, offered fruit, muffins, cereal, food mixed with EBM in a bottle, finger feeding, plastic spoon, metal spoon, and my latest and most ridiculous attempt at feeding involved a medicine dropper. FINALLY, he found something he really enjoyed! I am so happy and so proud! I bought an avacodo yesterday but we were so busy I didn't have time to try to feed it to him. My mom and I couldn't feed it to him fast enough! And there was not one frown on his face (for those who remember the first picture I posted of him "eating") I'm just thrilled.

AND...he's been sitting up for minutes at a time without any help! Braxton has been too, but he's too busy bouncing his big butt in the air trying to crawl. The funny thing is, I have EI coming out on the 14th to evaluate my babies who supposedly can't sit and refuse to eat anything. Something tells me I'm gonna look pretty stupid.

AND...Caleb's second tooth is already poking its little head out! There's just so much going on right now. I can't believe how this time is flying.

YAY for food consumption!! :lol: Wow I cant believe I didnt think of avacado!! My girls like guacamole on tortilla pieces, maybe he would like that too!

 

How awesome! Especially considering that avocado is such a rich, "good for him" food! Yay for all the 'new stuff'! :banana:

I'm so glad you found something he likes. I think they get easier with solids once they discover that SOMETHING tastes good - makes them more willing to try other things.

And so cool to hear about the other milestones too!

 

How funny that avocado is the magic food -- my babies can't stand it, LOL. It's so good for him, too! All those great, healthy fats...clearly he is just a *particular* baby, heehee.

And, yay for sitting! Can't wait until mine will sit for more than 30 seconds at a time, and stop throwing themselves backwards.
