Not sure if anyone else has had this or not. On Sat nite in bed sleeping when I hear this loud noise coming from babies room. I go racing in and nothing going on just two sleeping babies. I go back to bed and there is the noise again??? So again Dh and I race in and this time we wait to see what is happening...... Well our DD has taken up stomping while sleeping and the noise is her legs slammin into the crib mattress. And not just raise em a little she full up in the air and slammin back down and proceeded to do this allllll nite long................................................
Flash forward to next nite (Sunday) and again the noise begins but now I do not just have one stomper in the house my DS has begun the stompin but not to the degree of his sister who still continues this lovely noise.
Has anyone else had this happen???

Mattie does this all the time, but not at night. That would drive me crazy

Mine do this too. The first time I heard it I was really freaked out but once I realized what it was I laughed
It's pretty annoying but we've learned to mostly ignore it.

Oh yeah, Owen is ALL about this at night! He raises his legs high in his sleep sack and slams them against the crib mattress. I can't believe how loud he is (we've nicknamed him "The Boomer"). I've watched him do it during his nap too, and strangely enough I think he actually uses it to get to sleep.

Anyone know why they do this? Are they working out extra physical energy or something? Very curious...

One of my guys does this too. It scared the crap out of us when we heard it until we figured out what it was. He loves to do this while awake, especially in the bath tub. Needless to say, bath time gets the whole bathroom soaking wet. But at night..I can't figure it out. It is kind of funny to watch though.

Aiden does this too...it cracks me up b/c the whole crib squeaks...if he's not crashing with his legs he's just kicking..poor Noah..hopefully he becomes desensitized soon...I think it's what wakes him every now and then.I have them in seperate cribs but in the same room.

TG I thought I was gonna be the only one that had this happening. It is funny to watch I agree especially when you figure out they are sound asleep when doing it. And man can they get there legs up high and slam it down the bed shakes and the crib moves. I am very glad they are not in the same crib anymore or one could be propelled out of the crib from the movement. LOL

Ronan's been doing this for months--it's one of the reasons I finally put them in separate cribs a few weeks ago--Ro's legs would come down right on Declan's feet, waking him up (which he does just fine on his own, unfortunately :p ). DH and I have gotten used to the noise, although it still makes us chuckle. Actually, now that I think about it, Ro's not been doing it quite as much in the last few weeks, so maybe it's just a phase?

Yep, us too! Lauren was the stomper (but only until she fell asleep). She has started something new and even more exciting now, as soon as I put her down she scooches her body sideways and kicks the spindles! :D What a nut!

Both of mine do this still and have since they were about 6 months old. I'll take it any day over a few other phases that freaked me out until they passed like head banging and self-induced vomiting. Nobody tells you about this stuff! Oh, and mine do it only in bed when they are falling asleep after a busy day so I do think it's a self-soothing technique.
