    Hi Ladies,

I need a word of advice here. I am at my wit end with my twins' situation. I believe I have post this somewhere on the board about my twins' stool color had changed after the fact they had their flu shot. Unfortunately, the DR says it has nothing to do with that or the react to it. I find that hard to believe otherwise it may be timing effect. I also mentioned the DR about their stool changed in color and not to worry as long they have no fever, and if they have a stomach flu/viral there not much to do about it.

Last week, we were all a little bit under the weather with some kind of stomach flu or viral. Rianna, my husband, and myself all "puke" since last week. Justin, my son has not been himself a little bit more than 2 week starting to lose his appetite. He finally puke in his crib while napping yesterday. I have NEVER seen him with no energy and being weak.

The question is -- They both still have that foul smell, pale yellow clay before and after puke. I am more concern about Justin's appetite becuase he really hasn't eat much or finish his whole milk, juice or water either. Does this need MEDICAL attention????? I would think so! If I can convince the DR to take a look at Justin. I am confused!

Is there anyone out there experienced with stomach flu/viral?

    Help!

We are on our way to the doctor at 10. The older twins have had the crud since 2 weeks ago. It started with croup. The congestion isn't better. The younger twins started it last week, and are still congested. On Thursday, the vomiting and some loose stools started. One of the kids developed a face rash. We have been up all night now for about 2 weeks. I feel your pain. Take him in if you think it is a concern. I know our doc alway says stool change is normal unless it is bloody or looks like coffee grounds. I am tired of guessing too, so we are heading in, especially before heading out of town! If you hear when this all gets better, let me know. I am at my wits end too!

Thanks! We are going out of town too but need to get my kiddies to the DR today. My son, Justin hasn't been eating for the last 2 week along with both of their stool hasn't change much either whether they puke or not. I am hoping they do NOT have the "Rotavirus". I'll keep you post as soon as we find out anything with the DR.

Sorry your kiddies are sick too -- hope they'll be better before the trip!

Our appt is tomorrow -- Nurse says nothing to worry and discuss further with the DR tomorrow. She says at this age (14 mos) they can go through no-eating stage. That all the info. I have for now.

It sounds like they picked up something from the doctor's visit. We get stomach flu everytime we go. I wash their hands like crazy while we are there and take our own toys to play with. If it's rotavirus, the smell is a dead give away. It's the most horrible smell in the world and it was a weird color. I hope they feel better soon.

The doctor said the stomach bug we all had is something going around that affects people of all ages. Apparently the belly cramps and gas stay around for some time (great!). The loss of appetite is to be expected she said. She said once the vomitting, etc. stops, we are contagious for 3 days. Good handwashing is the key. Ya, know I think the doctor's office is the worst place for getting sick. Seems like they started this after their well visit 2 weeks ago.

Thank goodness it isn't rotavirus. You are right about the smell. That is something you never forget!
