Yesterday when I picked up my girls from daycare, I was told that Hannah had thrown up a pretty good bit that morning. She's been pretty congested and the daycare worker and I agreed it was probably due to that. Well, last night at some time she apparently threw up again because it was in the bed this morning. It didn't wake her up. She's still congested so we weren't terribly worried that she threw up twice within well over a 12 hour period. Well, today she had a pretty stinky diaper right before we left for daycare and then had 3 more at daycare. Her teacher said that none of them seemed to be diarrhea but thought maybe she had a stomach bug. She had one more dirty diaper tonight that was pretty runny. She is running no fever and seems to be acting ok. We are keeping her home tomorrow just in case. Any words of wisdom or advice?? Thanks!

Call your Ped and let them know what is going on and they can advise you on what to do and at what point they would like to see her if necessary. Know the signs of dehydration-not drinking much, fewer wet diapers, sunken eyes or soft spot, etc. I hope she turns the corner tomorrow and feels better.

I echo what Rachel said. I think it is good that you are keeping her home tomorrow. I hope she feels better soon!

Hannah woke me up about 30 minutes ago and had another dirty diaper that had leaked all over the bed and her. She is back asleep now after a good rinse off and some cuddling. Again, no fever, acting normal, ate normally before she went to bed. I have about 3 hours before the ped opens and will give him a call. My alarm goes off soon, should I even bother going back to bed?
Poor baby, I can't stand it when they are sick.

Good Luck to you! We had two weeks of a stomach bug go through our house and it wasn't fun at all! Lacy had it one week and then Logan had it the next. Even though I bleached everything in sight! Somehow they still managed to pass it to one another.
My advise it to make sure you keep pediylite on hand and cut out all diary products! Keep her on the B.R.A.T diet until she's completely over it.
With the PP's kep a close eye out for dehydration.

    Take Care

I am going through this now. Pedi suggested to switch both to SOY formula and that is working. Both seem fine and are active. Hope this passes quickly.

I agree with the everyone, call the pedi just to be on the safe side. Also make sre she drinks enough fluid. I hope she gets better asap, poor little thing. KUP with how she gets on and what the pedi says.

Well, just wanted to give a little update. DH took Hannah to the ped this morning. We had my grandmother come and watch her during the day because being a teacher, I really needed to be at work the day before we are out for Thanksgiving. I took Hailey to daycare to try and keep them separated. About 11:15 they called and said Hailey was throwing up. While all this was happening, DH was at the ped office with Hannah and couldn't leave so I left work to get her and take her home. The ped said Hannah (and Hailey too if she keeps it up) have an infection that is messing with their digestive system. He said hold off on formula and solids for 12 hours and give them pedialite. Then we can mix 1/2 formula and 1/2 pedialite. He said by Sunday we should be all better! No signs of dehydration so that's good. Hannah is already acting better and Hailey has not thrown up or had diarrhea once since I picked her up. Hopefully we are going to get over it quick! Thankfully, I'm off all next week so I can be here with them as they get better. :) Thanks for the replies!
