Stinky Feet

One of my boys (Chase) has the stinkiest feet EVER. He’s only a little over 5 months old… how can this be? Apparently stinky feet run in my DH’s family, something he neglected to tell me when we first got together. We bathe him and lotion him up but in a few hours (even without baby socks on) his feet stink again.

The other one’s (Parker) feet don’t smell bad at all – I can’t figure this out. All I know is that later on in life we’re gonna have a heck of a time controlling it if it’s this bad already.

Does anyone else have this issue with one or both of your babies?

 

Iv got the same problem with my DS. His feet really stink just like his daddy. He also sweats when he sleeps and so after nap & every morning i have to give him a bath or a good wiping down.

 

I remember Dr. Oz on Oprah telling an adult to soak her feet in tea! The tannins in the tea do something about it.
What an odd trait to inherit!

I've just noticed this in Ryan! I'm hoping it was just the socks and the walk around the neighborhood on an 80 degree day. EW!

 

I think I read in What to Expect the First Year that babies have a ton of sweat glands on their feet and stinky feet are pretty common. My boys get stinky toes, especially if we have skipped a bath the night before.

 

Yep both mine of get stinky feet after one day of socks and robeez... I am always smelling their feet to make sure they are not to stinky! I thought it was fairly common for babies...

 

I was just telling DH the other day that Lily's feet smell like adult stinky feet!
