Oh it seemed like FOREVER! It's worth every minute of the wait though.

My DS did not smile until he was 3 months old. He only cried or was straight-faced (it seemed) before that. So hard. It was nice when he started smiling and inteacting with me at 3 months. The smiles are coming. Hang in there  .

Hang in there. They will come. Ours didnt do it until closer to 3 months. That was the milestone that took the longest to reach.

Around 3 months. When they do smile at you, it makes ALL those sleepless days and nights and stress worth it! You'll cry

At least now when I act silly, they smile at me. Makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

What is it about twins? MY two earlier singletons smiled at SUCH early ages.
These twins? I was working my butt off and getting NOTHING!!! COME ON GUYS! SMILE!!!!

It took months. But boy, was it worth it!!!!!

I had the same desire...all I heard was crying for 3 months! I even asked the doctor when it was going to happen. It is the best to see the smile--it makes it all worth it. Hang in there--it's coming!

Were they early? If they were preemie you have to go by adjusted age. Don't worry though it will happen and it will make your heart melt.

Mine didn't smile consistently until they were closer to 3 months; but now they are ridiculously smiley--to the point that DH asked me if I thought something was wrong with T because he seems too happy  . DH is a pretty serious and understated person; so he's not quite tuned in with the occasional abject joy of babyhood. It will come, and, for me, anyway, it helped a lot with those difficult early months.
