OK- I think I have the only 13mo olds on the planet who still take 4 bottles daily. Mia just learned to drink from the sippy last weekend..I have been trying to push the sippy, but then James was stealing Mia's bottle. Am I really that behind??? They are on only table food for 3 meals daily-not terribly intersted in snacks. The 3rd bottle(around 3 pm) is also water only. They sleep from 6pm-7am.Then:

    7am-6 oz. bottle
    8:30-breakast
    9:30-nap
    11:30-6 oz. bottle
    12:30-1 lunch
3pm-4 oz water sippy or bottle
    4:30- dinner
    6pm-6oz bottle and bed

I wolud also love to push bectime back to 7pm,will this happen ever? Is this scehedule totally wrong??
    Help!?!

It looks like they are only 1nap a day. It took mine a while to adjust, but pushing their nap a little later each day until it is after lunch would probably help the bedtime to be a little later. My guys are 16mos and they wake around 7:30am and nap around 12:30 for a couple of hours. Bedtime is usually 7pm.

As for the bottle thing I am probably not the one to answer. I took my older son off of one by 10.5mos. My twins I took them off of bottles right at a year pretty much cold turkey. I had to try a bunch of different sippy cups, they liked the soft spout ones, but only used them for a couple of months, now they will use anything. They were not taking sippies well and I was worried at first, but they caught on pretty quick and I just served milk with meals. Mine are not big snackers. I still offer one in the afternoon, sometimes they eat and sometimes they don't. As for bedtime I don't usually give them a snack if we eat after 5:30pm. I give them some water in a sippy cup. If sippy cups don't work for them, try cups with a lid and straw. Walmart sells them in a four pack, I think they are made by The first years. They are reusable/disposable ones and don't leak unless they shake them up quite a bit or if they pull the straw out, but mine drink more out of those because they think it is fun. I hope this helps a little and good luck.

We just went down to 3 bottles about 1.5 months ago. I finally found more table foods that they would eat so we do 3 bottles a day and 2 sippies of milk a day but not measured amts. We are going to wait on dropping our afternoon bottle until 13 mos. Mine are just not getting the hang of the milk sippy. Before I was putting watered down juice in the sippy and they didn't really care that much for it. When I switched to whole milk they have gotten much better

    7:15 am Wake
7:30- 8oz bottle of Whole Milk
8:30 Breakfast ( some type of fruit and either yogurt or pancake/waffle)
    9:45am Nap 1-2 hrs
11:30 Lunch with a sippy of milk(grilled cheese or ravioli or mac n cheese and some type of veggie)
2:30 8oz Bottle of Whole Milk
    2:30 Nap 1-2 hrs
4p Snack(goldfish or cheerios and juice)
6pm Dinner with a sippy of milk(chicken fingers, mac n cheese, pasta)
7:45 8oz bottle of formula then put in cribs( we are about to switch this bottle to whole milk)

Yours are only taking one nap, and at 9:30am? Are they making it until bedtime with out being cranky? Mine would pass out on the floor they'd be so tired.

As for the bottles, I think everyone stops bottles when they are ready. We do still give a bedtime bottle of milk, but that is the only bottle they get and have gotten since 12 months. I was so ready to get rid of bottles. I found to drop the bottles I had to replace them with a meal or a snack. Are you ready to give up bottles? I found Trevor did not drink well from a sippy until he had no more daytime bottles, then he figured out he had better drink from it.

This is our schedule since 12 months:

    7:30-wake up
    7:45-breakfast wtih milk sippy
    9:30-11:30-nap
    11:30-lunch with milk sippy
    1:30-3:10-nap
3:45-snack with juice sippy (this is when we get back from getting oldest DD from school)
    5:30-dinner with milk sippy
7:30-6 oz. bottle of milk and bed

We gave up bottles at 1 yr . I think the longer you wait you may have a harder time if they get more attached to the bottle. I'm also surprised you kids only get 1 nap. If you want a later bedtime then you should have them take a nap in the afternoon or maybe push back the 9:30 nap.

My girls are 13 months and we just tried the cold turkey method for table food. Needless to say it didnt work out too well so now we are on 3 bottles + 3 meals. Wow one nap already? My girls couldnt make it on just one nap! Here is what our schedule looks like

    6am- wake up
6:30- breakfast w/ milk in sippy
    9:30-4oz bottle
    11:30-wake
12:00-lunch w/ water or juice sippy
    2:30-nap
    3:30-wake
    4:30- dinner w/ milk sippy
    6:30-cereal w/ baby food
    7:00-bath
    7:30-8oz bottle
    8-bed

    HTH!

Thanks for the help!! They are actually on on3 nap for the past month on their own. Most days James naps from 9:30-1pm!! I do try to force Mia to take 2 but she never sleeps the 2nd time. She has never been a great napper. I do put her down at 2 and leave her until 2:30 if she is not sleeping and longer if she does, but it is very irregular. I cut them yesterday to 3 bottles and they did great,so I will try again today! I also am considering cold turkey for daytime bottles (as I sit here now with milk sippies). I'll let you know how it gooes. Thanks again!!

I am sure you have a sippy cup graveyard already :p but have you tried the Nuby straw sippy? These are the only kind that the girls will use. We have tried so many others and these seem to work the best. HTH!
