Aiden started to do some independent walking a few weeks ago..his main form of mobility is crawling though.
Noah just won't try..he cruises all over everything and will walk when you hold his hands but if you let go he gets down and if you try to encourage him to walk from the furniture to you he will get down and crawl...I spoke to EI and they said to wait until Feb to see where they are then...they will be 15 months by then!!!

Well, my girls are about a month behind your guys but we are still not walking either. They cruise around and they walk holding hands or with their walkers, but as soon as you let go, then sit down and crawl. Honestly I really am not concerned about it yet... Didn't think I should be. Should I be?

Normal range for walking is anywhere from 9-18 months, they are fine, don't worry (I know from experience, it is hard not to). That 9-18 months needs to be adjusted for prematurity as well.

    My scenario:

Lily walked at 11 months actual (9 months adjusted)
Grace walked at 20 months actual (18 months adjusted)

So as you can see, mine spanned the entire range and I had a good 9 months to stress over comparing them to each other.

But now that Grace is walking, you'd never know she waited so long to do it. She's a pro.

Our guys were 6 weeks premature so I am trying to take that into account...I'm not really that worried about it b/c I don't think there is anything physically wrong.. I had 15 months in my head as the "end of the range" for walkers and we are almost there....

My twins were term (38 weeks) and still one doesn't walk independently. He does have CP, but mild. He can walk with a walker, but again not independently. We're getting there and praying he continues to progress.

just think this way... you have one into everything they couldn't reach on their hands and knees, when you have two, you may be complaining about them running around.

Don't panic!!!!!! My doctor told me that 18 months is when they start to wonder...it WILL happen!! Mine just started to walk to one day and off they went (I had no clue)...
    It will happen!

What I was told by EI is that as long as they are making an attempt to move across the room by 12 months, that is normal. Don't worry, he will walk. Ainsley didn't walk until nearly 19 months. She probably could have walked sooner, but she is very cautious. She does have a gross motor delay, but was cruising and walking with a push toy around 14-15 months.

Since you know the stats, I just wanted to come and tell you to not worry {too much ;) } I thought the same thing, that they would never walk but one day they got up and did it. With mine there was not too much of the fumbling around trying to walk stage, they went straight to walking very well. :)

You still have a bit of time for walking 9 to 18 months, agree with everyone else say too ;)

Mine still aren't walking, and they aer 17 months old. Tyler has taken a total of 6 unassisted steps, but Jacob hasn't taken any. At the 15 month appt, I asked the doc. He said that they are fine because they are cruising. I am a bit worried, but I will try to realize that they will walk when they are ready. My DH didn't walk until around 20 months. Maybe they are taking after Daddy.

Normal walking age is all the way until 18 months old so you still have some time. :) Mine walked at 16 and 16.5 months old.
