Okay, both of my kids have been pee pee trained for 7 months (sarah) and 5 months (jake). But neither of htem will poop on the potty. THey have both done it a handful of times, but refuse to do it consistently.
Sarah holds it for nap time when I put a pull up on her, and well, Jake will poop in his underwear if he has too :bad:

I'm praying they are fully trained by high school, but i'm not sure anymore :(

We've tried prizes, cookies, taking things away...nothing works.

Any advice? Am I the only ones w/ twins that are 3 3/4 years old still not completely potty trained?

No advice, only camaraderie. My girls are a little younger than Sarah and Jacob and the potty training is newer for us (like 2 weeks!) but I KNOW it will be a long long long long time before I can call them fully potty trained. Poop is going to be a major issue here?

Do your kids have a history of constipation, by any chance?

Thanks! It's good to know i'm not alone ;)

Yes, my son does. He's been on Miralax since February. Now takes it 3x a week and is doing well.

    How about your girls?

Yes. We've got them fairly well under control with prunes and dried apricots, etc, but still it's a struggle for them. They've been constipated since birth and, well, it's going to be a major hurdle getting them to poo on the potty. Jade did it once recently and all on her own. Melissa hasn't done it yet.

PS - it's nice to see you on TS, I think it's been a while. I remember your kids as teeny tiny, and Sarah as teeny tiny with tons of hair! Looking at your avatar, they look great!!

FWIW - Melissa, my most constipated, since birth chronic, today several times played with us saying I just went poopy in the potty wanna see? to which we humored her and I just started sending back bystanders or sending her back with a "you did not" (but in a nice way), but this one time she was so jubilant, I want running back and sure enough, she did it and all by herself, which doesn't really surprise me...this is a kid who has needed to hide to strain forever...so...anyway...YAY, Melissa!

And an hour later, they were in the tub and Jade suddenly looked recongnizably uncomfortable, and said she was "Done!" with the tubby (with sudsful of hair) but I got her right on the potty for a poopy. Which isn't the same, but she looked rightfully proud of herself as well. so I think all in all a good day.

Plus, we got our tree up. Yay.
