my hands feel real stiff, as do my joints. and my thumb joints actually hurt. my wrists are also stiff. also, my jaw hurts (especially in the morning, so i'm wondering if i'm clenching my jaws wheni sleep). is this normal?

also, i find that i can't even raise my legs. not that i have a reason to raise them :p but i dance ballet (well, not for the past 5 months), and i tried to raise my legs today just to see and found i couldn't do it. is it because of my joints being all out of wack, or is it because i haven't been as active as i was before? i think i need to up my yoga....

I have the problem in my hands. A lot of days they just hurt. But I have no clue if it's normal or whats causing it.

I too have really stiff hands. All the little joints in my fingers ache when I fully extend them. I woke up one morning and thought that I had been clenching my fists all night long but that was a few weeks ago and the pain has not gone away.

I have this too...it only started within the last week. I find morning are the worst, this is when my fingers are really sore and it just feels that my hands are really weak. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so i am asking if this is normal or not.

Me too. It started 2-3 weeks ago. I feel like I cannot sqeeze my hands closed tightly. The joints are very sore and I have severe butterfingers!

I have the same leg-lift problem, too. It is a little painful to lift a leg to climb into bed or into the tub... oh so fun! I was trying to set the brake on my DD's stroller and that wasn't too plesant either!

Same here. I noticed it just over a week ago and it's really painful first thing in the morning.

Could it be a result of extra fluid building up in your joints?

It's probably pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. I have it too. It usually goes away after you deliver, but it's just another lovely symptom of pregnancy :D

I have the same thing in my hands...it started a couple weeks ago...
The leg thing I just noticed Monday, Jay called me a pain in the butt (joking of course) and I said I'll give you a pain in the butt and tried to kick him....needless to say it didn't work....
I just hope it goes away!!!

I have the same problem. I have severe cramps sometimes in my legs and sometimes my hands ache. I have found that calcium helps with both of these problems though. If I dont drink my milk that day, I do have lots of problems far as pain.

I just started noticing pain in my right hand at the base of the third finger -- it hurts carry things in that hand -- like it's cramping up. I will plan to ask my peri about it at my appt. Friday.
