I am so nervous to post here.

I have had a previous twin pregnancy that ended up with one of the babies vanishing sometime between 8 and 18 wks. I did IVF with that pregnancy and had ultrasounds at 7 wks and 8 wks showing 2 babies and 2 heartbeats. I believe I lost one of the babies somewhere around 10 wks (had an emotional meltdown one night) and asked for another ultrasound but my docs thought I was overreacting and that everything was fine. I knew in my heart that I only had one baby left and that proved true at my 18 wks ultrasound. I delivered my beautiful baby girl on January 29th, 2005.

At the beginning of April 2007 I was just about to start another IVF cycle (we are unexplained). I was already on Synarel and I never got AF. Turns out we got pregnant on our own. I had an ultrasound at 6 wks to rule out an ectopic and the tech kept asking me over and over if I had done fertility drugs. I told her no, several times, and never really caught on until she turned the u/s screen and there were 2 little beans with heartbeats there!
I had another u/s at 12 wks fully expecting to only see one baby left and there are still 2 little beans. Both measured right on target and both have good heartbeats. My due date is December 18th. I know we won't make it that far but we are still in absolute shock that this happened on it's own and that it is 2 babies!! We are so happy but also so scared that something bad will happen.

Anyone else have a previous vanishing twin happen and get lucky the 2nd time around?
    Anyone else due around me?

Well, that should do it for my first post this time. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

We are due pretty close to each other. I'm about 3 weeks ahead...due on November 26th? Is that a BC flag I see?

Hi. I spent a couple of summers on Vancouver Island when I was in University. I'm originally from New Brunswick. Again, welcome to TS. It's fantastic.

Congrats!! I have had it happen to me!! My oldest ds started out as quads and only continued on. I got pg with twins on my own in 6/2004 and lost both of them, then this pg got pg with quads and had healthy hb's on all 4 but we had to reduce to twins bc of my history... But I never (nor did my RE) think I would be able to have one more healthy baby let alone any more than that!!

    Good luck and congrats!!!
