Steroid shots

I got my steroid shots on Thurs. and Fri. to help the babies' lungs in case they are early. Could it be the shots are keeping me from sleeping? Thurs. night I was awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night. This morning I was awake at 4:00 and never went back to sleep. I wasn't having pain or any other issue that would keep me awake. I'm hoping it's just the shots and I'll go back to sleeping o.k. (for a while anyway :lol

 

Hmmm, I don't know if the steroids do that or not, but I can tell you I've had really weird sleep patterns lately too. If I wake up during the night, it's all over I'm up and might as well find a good show!

 

I know I had issues sleeping at night when I was pregnant with twins and it is carrying over to this pregnancy! You are probably very uncomfortable and honestly since you are on bedrest, probably not expending a lot of energy. :hug99: I hope it gets better!

 

I don't remember if the shots kept me up, but I do remember I was more hungry for a few days.

It could have something to do with being on bed rest though. I know lately it seems like I have a limit of 3 bathroom trips a night and on the 4th one I have a really hard time going back to sleep and sometimes don't for a few hours. I'm trying not to nap very much during the day to help with it, but so far no such luck.

BTW- congrats on 24wks and getting the shots!! I remember that being a really big milestone for me!!

 

I never had that problem after I got the shots.
