My Melina is such a toy hog :p !!! Poor Makayla is doesn't matter what she has Melina has to have it..we have a variety of baby toys and when they sit on the floor facing eachother and we just put them all around them and they play we have just a few toys that are the same..not that, that matters to Melina. If Makayla has it Melina reaches over and grabs it outta her hand..at first it was humerous but now I just feel bad for..she just sits there with a look on her face like "do you mind I was playing with that". I don't want to seperate them they love having eachother around unless they throw all the toys to far away then they are at eachother..but thats a whole other Topic..Lol..Anyone else out there have a baby who hogs the toys from the other one...oh and I know Christmas will be closing in quiet quickly what are you'se planning on doing for toys with the same sex babies mine will be 11 months then ...Same toys to prevent fights and jealousy or different for variety? My Dh and I can't decide.

yep my DD is the toy hog. she is very grabby and so quick! she always takes whatever toy DS is playing w/ and plays with it for a second and then is like, hmm what's he got now?
I don't worry too much about it now, it is not like they really know what they are doing or are doing it to be naughty. :D

my son is the hog. luckily celia is pretty easy going and usually doesn't care. if she really wants it, she'll kinda look a minute and then try to take it back. we haven't really had TOO many knock-down brawls....yet..... i am sure that day will come! my friend at our twin mom's group has a kid that does the same thing (stealing) though is now 2 years old, so he knows what he is doing. but she said he steals her daughters PINK blanket or PINK scooter car and takes off in it looking all smug and she is like "oh yeah, you look SOOO cool in that PINK car". good story for when he is a teenager!!!

My toy hog twin changes every other day! SO we have two at our house - it just depends on what day it is....

I've been wondering about Christmas too. So far we just share all of the clothes and toys but I know at some point they'll want their own stuff.

My DD does the same thing to my DS. He doesn't mind yet, but there will come a day when he gets back at her.

Don't stress..... It'll change. My kids go thru phases. Sometimes 1 is more agressive, next month it switches.

As for toys to buy: If it's a big or expensive toy, they have to share or take turns.
We buy some single toys, so they can learn to share and take turns. It's also good for them to each of something that is JUST theirs. Like a lovey or special toys that their twin isn't allowed to play with.
And we buy some identical toys.

i hope it changes too. my dd takes everything from my ds...plays w/ it for second and throws it aside...she doesn't even want it...she just wants what he has! now, he gets mad and bites her! oh boy! fun, fun ;)
