Starting to nap in same room at 2 years

Since 6 months, Amy has been napping in the pack & play (which is also our changing table) and Sarah has been napping in her crib. I think they sleep much better in separate rooms. But recently a few things are happening:

1 - Amy is getting taller and could probably climb out, though she doesn't seem to want to.
2 - They are both refusing to be changed on the changing table, and insist we do it on the floor.
3 - Sarah seems sad that Amy is not napping in the same room with her. (It doesn't bother Amy.)

So, the PNP is no use to us as a changing table, and we're keeping it around (taking up lots of space) just for Amy to nap in it on weekends. (They are in daycare M-F.) I have no idea where Amy will nap when she's out of the PNP anyway -- so is it crazy to try putting them together? They do sleep in the same room (with 8 other kids!) at daycare, but the teachers are there the whole time to discourage chatting and make sure no one gets up and wanders around.

Does anyone have twins ages 2+ who nap successfully in the same room?

Mine do and always have. If they'll nap like that, I say go for it! :)

My two are 18 mo and nap in the same room. But I usually allow for a 3 hour time space for a nap. Some days they'll play for an hour before they fall asleep. Those are the days I wake them up later, if they fall asleep right away, then I wake them up after two hours.
They do the same thing at night too.
    Good luck.

Mine have always napped in the same room so they do fine with it. In your case, I'd give it a shot. The worst that happens is they don't nap super well on the the weekends and go to bed a bit earlier at night! GL!

Mine have always napped in the same room. Some days are more of a struggle than others, but for the most part they do well. I use a fan in their room for noise so they don't wake each other up much.

My guys also napped in separate rooms since around
the same age of yours. Ryan napped in their room
in his crib, while Colin napped in a PNP in our room.

Well, the first day he climbed out of the PNP, we knew
those days were over. And that just happened
    about 3 months ago.

We too were very hesitant about napping them
in the same room, but both adjusted to it
    right away.

Made me wish we had done it sooner as that PNP
was taking up a lot of room in our bedroom!

Just to give an update on this -- we tried it for the first time today and it was fabulous. Amy was initially reluctant about not sleeping in her "nap bed," but as soon as I put her in the crib, she seemed quite happy. We put Sarah down too, closed the door, heard about 15 minutes of chattering, and then they slept for 2.5 hours. (Normal weekend nap is 2-2.5 hours.) Plus, literally the first sound we heard when they woke up was hysterical laughter. :D

DH and I also decided it as a good idea to try this transition now, since when we go to toddler beds (though hopefully that won't be for at least 6 months) they will need to nap in the same room, so they might as well be used to it.

We're going to give it a few more days to be sure, and then that PNP is going to the garage! Yay!
