    Hello ladies…

I just wanted to share, and get some inputs maybe….I started my babies registry at BRUS yesterday, I accomplished a lot, I think.
You can find my registry under Alexandra Castellano (CA).
Tonite I go back with hubby to decide on toddler car seats and stroller for after the snap and go.

I will get hand downs of the following, so these won’t be on my registry:

    2 bjoern carriers
2 infant car seats including snap and go
    1 pack’n play

following, I will probably get on craigslist:

    crib(s)
    changing table(s)
love seat (as glider won’t really work with the EZ to nurse pillow….I mean, where would I put the babies one after the other until I have strapped on the pillowJ?)
    breastpump (medela advance in style)

I will do a small registry at Target too, with bath room utilities, like first aid kits, lotions, shampoos, diapers, etc.

I am not sure on the babies clothing, did you gals register for all their clothing or did you get it without registering? I am wondering if I should just register for beginning items, 0-3 months?

So what do you ladies think? Any ideas?

    Thank you!
    alexa

I did not look at your specific registry, but from what you described, it sounds like you know what you are doing!

In terms of clothes, I would register for basics, like onesies. But I would avoid registering for clothes in general, as you will probably receive a lot.

I just checked it out. Looks like you have some good stuff :) I did register for 2 bouncers, swings, etc. That way if both babies love them.... they will both be happy.

Looks like your headed in the right direction. Wasn't it fun to go through and pick out all the baby stuff?

Hey, Alexa! Just a heads up, you can't register for diapers and wipes at Target. Well, maybe you can in-store, but I have not been able to online -- it's annoying!

You might also want to wait to register for the "big" stroller -- I have a snap n go to start and we will wait until it's time to upgrade to decide what we want, as I figure it's best to have the babies in the stroller and test them out so I really know what I will like and what will work for us/them.

My sister and I found that we did not need to register for clothes - we got plenty. I suspect that's the case for most people ;) .

don't forget to put fun stuff on the registry like foot print memory kits and toys. Being practical is necessary, but its not nearly as fun, haha :a_smil09:

I registered for a lot of baby clothes but I don't even think people got what was on the registry. Everyone loves to buy baby clothes I think I got 65 newborn onsies. I would register for a lot of sleepers because you really will get a ton of use out of them. My boys were almost 6lbs each when they were born and even the newborn stuff was huge on them. I had to use preemie and just born sizes for the first month. Then they were able to wear nb and 0-3 month for a while. You can also register for gift cards I got a ton that I was able to save and buy clothes and diapers with as they grew.

I didn't register for clothes, glad I didn't. Everyone got at least 2 outfits for us, be it sleepers or real outfits. A few people really watched our registry and got what we wanted the most. Almost everything I got at my shower I used, some people even got stuff that wouldn't fit my son for another year or so.

For us, money is very tight and so we only registered for the necessities. People will still buy some "fun" items on their own, but I'd rather get as much stuff as we need first, so we're not left having to buy everytihng because all e got were photo albums and memory kits. I'd much rather get a bottle warmer right now. :)

You may want to put the breast pump on the registry. They are actually considered personal care items and should only be used by one person. The R]hospital grade rentals that you can get are the exception since there is no chance for back-up. Also, check your insurance and talk to your doctor. You may be able to get it paid for through insurance. My friends doctor had hers added to her hopsital bill and it was paid for no problem... I found out after I had already purchased mine for my daughter.

As far as items to have on your registry, definately 2 swings and bouncy seats. Also check the sticky at the top of the forum there is a great list there for you to go from.

It looks like you have a pretty good selection of things. You can look at my registries to get an idea of anything your missing.
