So I want to start getting our LOs on 1 less bottle a day -- and onto more solids/finger foods since they are just about 9 months old. They take on average anywhere from 6 - 7 oz a bottle except for the snack bottle at 5:30 which is about 4oz. Here is what our day looks like:

    7 bottle
    8 breakfast
    9 nap
    10:30 or 11 bottle
    11:30 or 12:00 lunch
    12:30 nap
    3:00 bottle and snack
    3:30 45 minute cat nap
5:00 or 5:30 snack bottle (I tried to not give them this bottle, and they are so used to it that when they freak out. I'm thinking this is the one we need to eliminate)
    6:30 dinner
    7:30 bottle and bed

This is exactly what our schedule looks like up to 12:30 nap and then we do
    2 or 230 6-7oz
    4-catnap if lucky
    430 or 5 dinner
    615ish bottle
    715 bed
I have been wondering about reducing bottles as well I'll be interested to see other replies!

Here was our 9 month/4 bottles:
    QUOTE
It seems as if we eat and snack all day these days!

    730 wake and bottle
    830 breakfast(pancakes, cereal, applesauce, fruit)
915 snack(usually puffs or cheerios), milk in sippy
    930 nap
    1130 bottle
1230 lunch(pasta, diced veggies, and veggie baby food)
    115 snack(crackers),milk in sippy
    130 nap
    330 bottle
4 snack(nutrigrain bar), milk in sippy
    430 bath
530 family dinner(usually some of what we are eating, or pasta, veggies, fruit, and one container of baby food)
    7 bottle and bed

The days of liking pureed food are coming to an end, they bat at the spoon as soon as they see it.

    And our 10 month/3 bottles:

    QUOTE
Here is our 10 month, I just modified it today, dropping down to 3 bottles. Hopefully it will work!

    7 wake and bottle(8oz)
830 breakfast(usually waffles, pancakes or toast, with some type of fruit)
    930 nap
12 lunch(veggie, and whatever I can think of to go with)
    1 bottle(8oz) and nap
    330 snack(puffs, crackers)
5 dinner(fruit, veggie, and some of what we are eating for dinner)
    530 bath
    630 bottle(8oz) and bed

I give them cereal and puffs throughout the day and also milk in their sippies.

Maybe you can bump up dinner and gradually reduce the number of ounces in that 5pm bottle?? Or maybe you can drop the late morning one and move up lunch??

The first bottle we dropped was at dinner. Our bedtime was just an hour after dinner too so they just drank about 1-2oz more at the bedtime bottle (which made for some good sleeping).

Dinner was also the first bottle we dropped. We moved up dinner for them so they did not miss the bottle completely. We did offer a sippy of water with their dinner (we had not gotten the permission for milk yet from our pedi). Good luck!

beendbee - your little guys will tell you what their needs are -- mine just happen to need three naps a day still (I wish they did two)...and mine get grumpy when hungry. Trust me, you'll know.

I really don't want to move up dinner -- I like having the babies eat with us at 6:30pm....it seems to me that I will have to drop the snack bottle and move up dinner if I want to drop a bottle though.....hmmmmm, decisions, decisions.
