My girls are still in the tub seats. They have recently figured out that they can stand up and climb out of it. Do you have a way to keep them from standing and staying in their seats? :umm:

We are not in tub seats anymore. But when ours try to stand we just sit them back down and say "no standing, sit down". If they keep doing it, and we are finished washing them, then we take them out of the tub. The novelty has worn off a bit with it, so they don't stand much anymore.

That's when I got rid of them and just bought a mat that covered the entire bottom of the tub.

Ditto on the mat. BRU sells a bath mat that suctions to the bottom of the tub. It helps with slippage if they do get to a standing position. My girls went through a phase where all the would do was try to stand up. It made bath time almost unbearable. then all of a sudden one day it stopped and hasn't happened since. I'd say it lasted though a good 6 weeks. I also use the word danger when they would stand up and in other dangerous situations as well. I hope this helps.

    Good luck!!

Same here. I take it seriously now with my DS because he a got a gash that bled for awhile after hitting his eye in the tub when he slipped from standing...

mine don't sit in the tub - they walk around but we have the huge mat from BRU and Tony and I bathe them together....

We skipped over the bath seats. Mine don't sit in the tub, only if they are really into a toy and sit, but otherwise they are standing, walking around. We got one of the bath mats so they don't slip. **knock on wood** they haven't fallen yet. Both me and dh give them a bath together, so we are covered at both ends of the tub.

We do the sit down or you are out of the tub thing here. It's normally just me and the three girls, so I think I would go crazy otherwise. Good luck!

I draw the line at jumping in the tub! They stand, but mostly sit. I need them to stand when I clean them now. Then again, mine are older so my tolerance might be higher by now.

We skipped the bath seats too. After lots of practice, my girls will now sit when I say "SIT" and give them the "momma look". I sit right next to them so they don't have an opportunity to do more than look at me and grab the edge.

Mine are also standers. That's all they do in the tub. I think, they think, it will keep me from pouring water over their heads.

Mine are out of tub seats, and they did this for a while. They got 3 "warnings" where we told them to sit down or they were going to have to get out of the tub. After the 3rd warning, out of the bath they came. They love their bath so this worked pretty well.

We also give a couple of warnings for standing. If they don't continue to sit down then out the come! Ours end up getting out early a lot b/c they still want to be little stinkers and stand :icon_biggrin:
