Standing in the Tub....it's scaring me!

I've finally mastered (well maybe mastered isn't the best word, but I can manage!) bathing both babies at the same time in the tub. My new issue is that they both love to stand!! I have a non-slip Elmo mat on the bottom and I've toyed with the idea of getting tub bumpers but I've heard they get moldy. I tell them, "You need to sit down!" and gently plop them on their bums but they think it's funny and stand right back up! It makes me so nervous. Any advice on how you handle/have handled this issue?

Mine did this too! It made me so nervous! I would tell them no twice and then warn them that the next time they stood they had to get out. They hated that! So I rushed to clean them both right away then let them play. Even now, Jake stands when he wants to get out, but it's not as scary as they are better at standing now.

I still have one that refuses to sit down in the tub....REFUSES :nea:
It drives me crazy & makes things wayyy more difficult than they need to be. She is forever slipping around & almost falling!
Not sure how to get her to sit...she screams/cries at me if I physically sit her down. No clue on what to do!

Oh that drives me nuts too! My boy does it, so I sit his little butt back down, and distract him. Usually works. If it persists, thats the end of bath time and everyone evacuates the premises.

we try to not say "no" a lot... but "sit down" gets old to keep repeating too! sometimes I try to distract them with other floating toys. other times I start spashing the water and that distracts them. it gets worse as they start standing more and more.... but I think its getting better now that they are walking more... maybe its just a phase while they are learning their newest "trick" of standing?

Mine got one or two warnings with sitting them down, then a pop on the tush and sitting them down, after that it was time to get out.

By pop I mean using only my fingertips, just enough to get their attention, no marks, not even painful :p

And repeat repeat repeat! I do think it gets better once they are over the standing skill!
