Well, the boys are becoming quite the movers, and now at night, one pulls himself up in his crib, and the other sits us in his, and they cry. Tonight its been about 40 minutes so far. They cant calm down, they just pull back up and sit up. We go in and put them back down, hand them their lovies, pacifiers, etc, and then leave, and its right back. I worry about crying it out, because they don't seem able to figure out how to get back down. We moved the cribs a little further away from eachother (its a small room), but they still wake eachother up.

This has been going on about a week or so now...

    Any advice?

Oh how I wish there was good advice for this, but unfortunately they just have to learn to get back down on their own. I always found that whenever they hit a milestone like that sleep went out the window for a while and we always had to go back to sleep training basics. And repeat the mantra "this too shall pass" a 1000 times while they're crying ;)

I agree with Jen. They are going to have to learn how to get back down on their own. It's a lovely milestone some kids get to partake in! Throw sleep out the window for a few days. Once they learn how to go back down, they will go back to falling asleep. And they will learn to sleep through each other's cries. It's hard to sit and listen to it, but hopefully soon the new milestone wears off! Good luck! Hang in there!

One finally conked out after an hour and half... the other guy went four hours before I went in and got him. I know, its a wash. But I can't make rational decisions at 1:30 in the morning. I guess we should go back to the 5/10/15 waits. Ugh. This is going to be a miserable week.

    Thank you mamas!

i wouldnt have been able to stand 1.5 hours let alone 4 hours of crying. I personally would go in and help them get down and maybe try rubbing their backs to see if you can soothe them back to sleep a bit.

Ditto this. I would work with them during the day to show them how to get themselves back down, but if they are screaming and screaming at bedtime/during the night then I would go in every 5-10 minutes and lay them back down.
