When did you go to stage 3 food?

We kind of bypassed stage 3 foods. I starting giving them to my girls at around 10 months adjusted, but they just didn't really seem to care for them that much. Just this weekend we started Gerber Meals and they LOVE the taste and the texture. My girls have no teeth yet either, and they do just fine with them.

yeah I saw those, maybe I'll pick a couple up and see how they take to them. did you have them share one meal or give one to them each?

They share one of the gerber meals and then I usually cut up some fresh fruit and give it to them as well.

We skipped them as well with the twins and went straight to the table food.

I havent done stage 3 yet but do give some table food already. I did give them some pasta pickups and just cut them in 1/4 and they did fine with what they actually go in their mouths...mostly ended up on the floor. Mine are little beggers while I am eating and do fine with most things that I just break up into little bits.

We also skipped stage 3. They didn't want to eat them so we started giving them table foods. This was between 11 and 12 months because I was a wuss and introduced solids VERY slowly.

9mo, there isnt too much of a difference, some have chunks, most do not. They are just larger containers.

I never did the meats or anything with meat in it, or pasta (because it has eggs in it) or tomato sauce (refluxer). I just did the basic potatoes, oatmeal, fruits, etc.

Kyrstyn, What are the Gerber meals??

They are the little meals in the microwavable can things with the blue lids, they are actual called "Gerber Graduates 'lil Meals". They have different ones, like macaroni and cheese and chicken stew etc...

After they started taking some table foods, we tried the Stage 3s. Most they just gagged on. I think it was just that they weren't used to being spoonfed anything with texture. A lot of the Stage 3s have chunks & they just weren't quite ready for that. I had a bunch of jars left over that we've used up as they got older. They were on all table foods, but we'd still spoon feed them some stage 3s just to use them up.

We also like the Gerber meals, although a good chunk of them have to be spoon fed too. Mine always split (I think a MUCH older toddler would be able to eat that solo) & I add some fruit and/or bread. The toddler pasta pick ups are a big hit..I just used to cut them in half & let them gobble!
