We have just started solids. I am wondering which veggies to try first.

We haven't started yet but I'm going with either sweet potatoes or squash. They are all lined up in the pantry ready to go. :p

all we've done so far is peas. Be warned, they are very gassy. They made the girls very fussy. I don't foresee us doing them again any time soon!

We just started solids a couple of weeks ago, so all I've done in the veggie department is sweet potato and avocado (although I think that's considered a fruit?).

They weren't thrilled with sweet potato, but liked it ok. I tried adding pureed, stewed pears to it and they liked that better. I think the pears also help if they tend to get a little "stopped up".

The sweet potatoes are SO messy and they tend to stain  . Oh well, nobody said this was a tidy business!

I have heard that you want to star with squash first (not to sweet of a falvor). All I know is that you don't want to start with the good stuff (fruit) first. I started with sweet potatoes first with my ds1 and he loved them.

we've done sweet potatoes, peas, avocado(yes a fruit!), and squash. DD eating it all (though MESSY- some tongue thrust), but DS did NOT Like the peas! we tried a few times and he'd just make a face and hold them in his mouth. not very happy about that at all! it was funny! now that they've had some veggies though, they want nothing to do with that rice cereal anymore! of course i have a HUGE box!!!! little buggers.....

I answered peas as that was their favorite in your poll - but their actual favorite of the stage 1 babies foods was squash. Then a few nights ago I gave them pumpkin (Libbys canned pumpkin like you would use in a pie) It was kind of thick so I asked some EBM to it - they loved it!! So...pumkin is their favorite veggie so far.

Sweet Potatoes were the favorite to begin with but, now they eat all the veggies and fruits. We are working on "table" foods now so we have introduces more textured foods like avocado, YoBaby yogurt and unsweetened applesauce. I know you have a long way to go but, I am finding my kids still like the more pureed textures of the Stage 2 foods.

The girls both love sweet potatoes, squash, and peas. They barely tolerate any kind of fruit, which I think is unusual.
