stabbing pain up the crotch

A few times today I all of the sudden had a sharp, stabbing pain up my crotch. It was crazy. Has anyone ever felt this? It is really unpleasant!

 

I get that too but I don't know what to make of it so will be interested to see what replies you get.

 

I am gald someone else gets them too. After I posted I thought everyone must think I'm a nut! :winking0009:

 

lol i get it too. lately not as much. while having my 18wk anatomy scan i THINK i saw the reason for it. the ENTIRE TIME she was looking at baby A i had those pains, and sure enough baby A was pretty much pounding the crap out of my cervix. seriously, it looked like he was using the membrane that seperates him and and sister as a trampoline and BOUNCING off of it and ramming into my cervix. ouchie. i dunno if thats WHY it hurts, but it was a related for me?

 

haha yep same here... gotta love it when the cervix becomes a punching bag... I know that is the cause of mine as well!

 

I have no idea what it is, but sounds like I have something else to look forward to. I am just starting to really feel them move around, feels like they are on a gymnastics team in there. My husband can't wait to feel them too.

 

I also get the same pain, to the point where i am hunched over for like 10 minutes because it hurts to bad to stand up

 

I am 34 weeks and it sounds like your babies are kicking your cervix. My babies have been breech just about the entire pregnancy and those pains sound all too familiar!!!! Each day I know my babies haven't flipped when I feel the kicks I get to my cervix. Sometimes they are mighty painful. I often expect to see a foot appear!!! Good luck ladies and all I can say is I hope your babies flip, but having been pregnant 3 other times, I know that those kicks will move to up under your ribs once your babies flip! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!!!

 

I get that same pain too from time to time. Doc said it is normal so long as it is not persistent pain.

 

I had them my whole preg esp close to the end. Baby a's head was right on my cervix. It felt like someone was trying to punch through my cervix!! It hurt, but completely normal.. I think i even posted about this..

Yep, I've been having that same pain as well for about two weeks now. I can't believe that the punching hasn't made my water break, but some how the are staying in there and just having a kickboxing lesson between the two of them.

WOW! I didn't realize your husband was coming home in 16 days!!! That is awesome! Does that mean he is being processed out soon or is he just starting to process out in 16 days. Either way, I am so happy that you two are going to be reunited! Congrats and good luck getting through the pain. I'm right there with ya!

He is a PA at the trauma center in Baghdad, and his relief is coming on the 10th. He will train him for a little over a week and then begin the journey home. Apparently some of his things have already been shipped home. It is really close now. He arrives here on the 21st! Woohoo!

 

ah... the evil crotch pain! It goes away after they're born!! :hug99: But seriously, when it got really bad, I'd wrap an ice pack in a cloth and hold it between my legs!!! I asked my OB about it, and he said your ligaments actually connect all the way down there, and it's just stretching. Now, I honestly thought that was a crazy answer, (especially since it provided no relief!) but that's what he said! Hang in there!

 

Yeah. Baby A likes to use my Cervix as a punching bag. It was very clear that was happeneing during my last U/S. I hope you get some relief I know if I get off my feet it helps alot.

 

Thanks for all the replies and it totally makes sense that the pain is from baby violence! Based on all the internal organs they use as a punching bag, I am expecting my daughters to be very feisty LoL!

I get that sometimes when i get up to fast! and i agree it has me hunched over for like 5 mins!!

 

I get that right under my pubic bone. I'm not sure if we're talking about the same area or not. I've had it for a few months already. My OB says it's just normal pregnancy stretching, but I didn't have it through my first pregnancy. I litterally have to bend a little when I'm walking to make it more comfortable. I hope that helps!!

 

and so that is my life now...
I have both of them breech tap dancing on my cervix. It often in addition to the pain feels like electric shocks. When I asked my midwife what we could do she said, pray the end comes soon! Not very promising but honest.
