I have already had two wonderful pregnancies, neither of which my membranes ruptured on their own. Doc had to do it while I was laboring. I was just wondering if twin pregnancies are more likely to rupture membranes on their own? I feel like the obvious answer is yes, but I wanted to hear from the ladies who have BTDT or who's doc has told them to be careful of certain activities due to this possiblity. I read one post where a woman was just rolling from one side to another on her couch and broke one of her bags. Now I'm afraid to sneeze...

PROM is possible in any pregnancy, I don't know the actual statistics as to whether or not it occurs more in a twin pregnancy or not. How far along are you? I know its hard not to worry, but just try to take it one day at a time. GL!!

I agree with Kyrstyn, PROM can be possible in any pregnancy. :hug99: Try not to worry yourself Momma. If you have any concerns call you doctor. :hug99:

I'm 17 weeks. I talked with the doc today and he showed me how to get up out of bed (not sitting straight up like a sit-up, but rolling on my side and then pushing myself up with my arms) But he said we should all be doing this whether pregnant or not to save our backs. He also said that it could happen in any pregnancy and that as I get further along, I'll have to really listen to my body and take it easy. I was planning on doing just that!! He also said not to be worrying about things like that right now. Thanks ladies. I just like to freak out once in a while. Just wait till you read my next post!! :icon_biggrin:

From what I understand, only a small percentage of women's water breaks (singletons that is) but my water broke 35 wks 5 days and the other girl in my office with frat twins, her water broke too.... seems like more twin water breaks than singletons... i'm convinced mine did b/c i walked too much at the mall that morning but who knows, I also had 12lbs 12oz of baby in me
