I feed my guys at the same time..bottles and solids..When I feed them their bottles I put them in their bouncy seats and have been doing this since they were born..however, now they seem so squirmy..How do you give yours their bottles?
The other question I have is Aiden seems to be playing with his bottle more...he'll bite the nipple and blow into it..I changed to a stage 2 nipple but that doesn't seem to make a difference...any suggestions?

Have you tried seeing if they can hold their own bottles? We bf, but supplement with bottles of EBM a few times a day and my babies LOVE to hold their own bottles. We'll sit them in their carseats or some other place where they're reclined, and they do it themselves. They do occasionally drop the bottle, and the feedings take longer, but they're so happy it's fun to watch.

Mine started playing with their bottles at that age as well. Part of it was teething. I fed them on a blanket on the floor with their heads on a pillow. They were holding their own bottles by then.

My girls do this sometimes, drive me crazy. I just stop and let them squirm it out. Sometimes that works.

I use a poddee bottle if I am by myself. But here lately my guys are becoming more and more squirmy as well. I have found that the poddee bottles work good cause they can feed as they see fit.

mine do this a lot too. I can almost never give them a whole bottle continuously, they always take at least one break while they are playing around with the nipple or the bottle. We use glass bottles, so they can't hold them yet by themselves either. I usually put the bottles down when they start to squirm and play, and go do something else (unload dishwasher, make next bottles, check my mailbox...) then in 15 minutes or so they are usually hungry enough to drink the rest. Unless they are really hungry, it takes at least 30-45 minutes for them to drink a bottle (with a break). I give them an hour, then I throw the rest away. It's too bad, because I know they can empty it in 10-15 mins if they are hungry! Oh, I also burp them and put them back in their bouncies. Sometimes that helps.

Is it possible that they are ready to drop a bottle? My guys start playing ALOT when it's time to drop one. They did this when they went from 5 bottles to 4 and again from 4 bottles to 3. Now they don't play around as much because they are actually hungry when they get it.

As for feeding, I either use their boppy pillows to prop them up, or I just put them both in between my legs and prop their heads on my hips. (Granted they are entwined together but it keeps them somewhat confined at the same time.)

We switched to stage 3 nipples at 6 and half months, the flow is faster and its much quicker for them to drink, maybe you could try that? (they seem to 'get bored' of drinking too long at this age!!!)

My Matthew has been attempting to hold hold the bottle for a few weeks. Sometimes he knocks it out and tries to put it back in his mouth but misses. Now Amy has begun "trying" to hold her bottle . These 2 eager beavers now have me stressed out because I can no longer prop the bottles and just sit between them and type on the computer. Now I must hold the bottles the whole time and that still doesn't help because they play with their tongues and gums.

It is so funny to watch but frustrating because it takse so long to finish 1 feeding. Another annoying thing is the mess that they make. Dribble , dribble , dribble.

I can't wait for them to hold the bottles NEATLY-LOL.

Have you tried holding them for feedings? They might be less squirmy with the mommy contact. I would hold one and put the other in the bend of my leg while sitting on the floor, couch, or bed.
