It might just be something he's discovered that he can do and it gets a reaction out of you, so he does it more. I would say if you continue to be concerned you can always contact your pedi.

My boy does the same and at first it was funny but now I think I might ask my dr since he does that a lot and he does it more with the right side of his face.

On the other hand, he usually does it most after he sees us laugh and it looked like he tries to immitate how our faces look when we laugh.

    I don't know

The last time I went to the eye doctor she told me that they're recommending that kids under 1 year get their first eye exam. I haven't done it yet for my guys, but I think it would be worth it for your peace of mind to get them an eye exam!

My DS does this alot, and, like you described, especially when he's smiling. He did it for the Pedi at their 15-mo check-up and he said not to worry about it unless it seems like he's doing it to try to see something better. :unknw: (It's kind of hard to be certain whether or not that's why he's doing it, but I really think he's doing it for fun, not to try to see things better - he doesn't do it THAT often!)

Oh jeez Zoe sooooo went through this. She is such a card. She just does it out of the blue - it is clear to me however that she is not trying to see anything, rather, I noticed she was doing it and reacted so now she does it for attention. Make note of these things and try to capture them on video or film...we may not remember 15 years from now how funny these kids could be. I catch her doing all kinds of weird things, like fluttering her eyelashes, blinking with long pauses in between, pulling on her nostrils, etc.
