I got them ones from Childrens Place last year when they were on sale for like $10 each. I got them each a red one and a blue one. They are pretty sturdy and seem heavy enough for cooler days. I like them so far, now if it would warm up enough to wear them !

We just wear sweatshirts! I like them to have a hood and zipper though.

Ours wear hooded fleece jackets that zip up the front. If its rainy (which it does here a lot) or really windy we top it with a rain coat. We also have fleece vests for milder days. We used to have a light windbreaker for our eldest - probably got it at Wal-Mart.

I just got the cutest little lightweight jackets at Old Navy- about $12 apiece. One navy and one red. Zippers and hoods and lined with heather gray t-shirt material. We like them! Nice and simple design.

We have very lightweight fleece jackets -- the ones from last year still fit! -- and also windbreakers, which they rarely wear. The windbreakers don't provide much warmth at all, so I mostly save them for summer days when it's just a little chilly in the morning. But they wear the fleece jackets from about April to October.

However, I have been wanting to find them something a little heavier as well. Right now, we have a lot of days when it's too warm for winter coats but not quite warm enough for the light fleece. I'd like to get a heavier fleece (although I'll probably have trouble getting them to wear anything else because they are so attached to the light fleece ones).

I also sometimes just have them wear a sweater under the jacket, though that's getting a little sausage-like as the jackets get tight.

I bought theirs last year at Old Navy on clearance for like $9 each it's gray and the outside is a windbreaker material and the inside is a thin layer of sweatshirt material.

We had two pink, light weight, waterproof, wind breaker type, jackets that I got them last year. They were great until dh "let" Natalie take a spill in the garage. She landed in the drip pan that is normally under his classic car, which he had pulled out of the garage. Transmission fluid doesn't come out of anything easily. At the moment, they are using a couple of hoodie sweatshirts until I find a suitable replacement for the other two. While Natalie was the one that fell in the transmission fluid, Annika somehow ended up covered in it too... I wasn't home. I'm not sure what exactly happened. But I can guarantee that dh wont be trying to take them out on his own anytime soon.

We use hoodie sweatshirts w/zipper or denim jackets. This winter we also got the 3-in-1 coats that have a separate inner fleece jacket so we can use those too.

I got some light fleece zip hoodies on clearance at Old Navy for $2.50/each! That's what we'll be wearing.

3 in 1 for spring, I take the lining out when it gets warm but having the lining in makes a great transition from the bulky winter jackets when it is still cool at the bus stop but fairly warm by the time recess comes.

I bought some at Target, they were a bit heavier than some other spring jackets I had seen elsewhere.
