I've had some spotting through out this pregnancy and they can never find the cause.I had it alot during my first trimester and then it seemed to have stopped. But last night when i went pee and wiped there was a very little bit of light pink on the TP.It was like that for a few hours then stopped.I'm o.k today and have had nothing I checked both twins heartbeats and both seem normal.I'm just going to take it easy today.I go to the OB on Monday so i will defiantly let him know.I thought it might of been from DTD on Sunday but that seems so long ago for it to be caused by that.I think i was moving to much around yesterday and that could of been it?

Has anyone else had spotting during there second and third trimesters? Are you more prone to spotting with a twin pregnancy?

I started spotting at 10 weeks and its been on and off (I am now 21 weeks). The cause for me is an irritated cervix. I find it will usually only happen when I go to the bathroom. Sometimes pink, sometimes red. The Dr. said its just the capillaries on the cervix breaking and not to worry. Will likely continue throughout the pregnancy. It was worse when I was working. It hadn't happened for a couple weeks and then I was bending and squatting a lot the other day, helping out in the yard and it showed up. I think it maybe is my bodies way of saying "slow down". Hoping it goes away entirely for you!

I had some major bleeding at 6 weeks and some spotting a few time since. I asked my OB about it and she said that with twins there is a higher increase of blood to that area and sometimes blood vessels pop. It can happen with one baby too. I was cheked via ultrasound to make sure the blood was not coming from inside my uterus but from my cervix. My advise is ask your OB and ask for an u/s to check for the source of the bleeding Good luck :)

I have spotted on and off since about 6 weeks, mostly just noticeable when I wipe after peeing though as a previous poster said as well. My OB believes the cause for me is my partial placenta previa, but I also think that it is sometimes my cervix as I notice it happens more when I do a lot of walking, bending, straining, etc. I have always been told that spotting isn't anything to be REALLY worried about (ie. rushing to the ER over) unless the spotting/bleeding is severe, accompanied by tissue and/or cramping.

Hope that yours just disappears, but definitey do mention it to your OB at your next schedule appt!

    Thanks girls!

Mine stopped completely yesterday....was fine all day,but then after chasing after my two year old all day and moving things around while cleaning up.....at night right before i went to bed pee and when i wiped it came back....this time it was red.I've been up through out the night to pee and it seems like it's tapering off again.I have an appointment Monday and i'm defiantly going to bring this up.I can still feel the babies moving around alot and both heartbeats are around the same as they normally are so i think i'll be ok waiting until Monday. It's just scary spotting this late in the game.
