Spotting?

I'm 33 weeks along and this morning when I went got up, I noticed like three or four spots on my undies...brownish color...they were dry...so I almost wonder if they are just old stains??? But, my brain keeps reminding me that I throw away stained underwear, so how would they be stains??? YET, there was nothing on the TP when I wiped...so...

For now, I think I'm going to just pay attention every time I go to the bathroom...could this be the beginnings of losing my mucous plug (I lost it all in one big glob with DS so this would be different)...anyone else have slight spotting at this point???

 

I think the mucous plug is usually bright, new blood.

I'd just keep an eye on things.

 

I would be sure to give your OB a quick call just to let them know what the color was etc. They would want to know just in case :good:

Also, place a thin liner in your underwear. That will help eliminate any doubt as well.

 

Just wanted to update....talked to my m/w who said that I should just watch it and take it extra easy and suggested "pelvic rest" (which I think is funny...I mean, just say no sex!)...anyway, she thinks it may be as simple as a burst capillary in my cervix, which can happen this late with all the weight of the babies. If it happens again or gets worse, then we needed to talk about next steps, but for now, she's not too worried about it...
