Today after using the bathroom I noticed I was spotting a bit.. The next few bathroom trips nothing and now again IM spotting.... My tummy feels weird but really high up not down low.. My ankles are swollen really bad but I imagine thats from being n my feet all day yesterday for the wedding.. I didnt get a chance to sit today either and maybe thats all i need.. IDK.... I want to call and go see the dr but I wont have ins till november 8th and then I have to go for a blood test so they con confirm im pg.

What could be reasons why im spotting at 5 weeks 6 days?

I have already had a break down thinking that its the begining of a m/c.. I pray to god its not and its normal for this to be happening.... I need piece of mind until thursday.... Im going to call the ins place tom to see if i can get my appt bumbed up but I'm 110% sure they wont be able to..

    advice please ladies...

I want the good and the bad here so i know whats going on

    thanks

Can you go to urgent care??? I hope it's nothing. Is it red or brown? (brown = old blood) How did it go yesterday? :hug99: I hope eveything is ok. Not knowing is horrible...

:hug99: I am sorry, not knowing is the worse! I know how hard it is to try and not worry and rest. I would call your local L&D and see if maybe they can give you some advice. If not I personally would just go in to the ER or something anyways, just to ease your mind and check things out. I hope everything is ok.

Hope the bleeding is nothing...not sure if you have an update somewhere from yesterday...but there can be a ton of reasons for spotting and even heavier bleeding without it necessarily meaning m/c. I had heavy bleeding at 5 weeks, even passing clots... bled again at 7 weeks...and pretty much hemmorage/bled at 11 weeks this pg... all of it turned out to be my placenta...a part of it was loose and so blood could just pump right out. So it can be the placenta...it can also be a vein in your uterus that bursts....or it could be your cervix being irritated, with or without sex being involved..sometimes it can get irritated regardless.... all of this info I learned while on my own pleasant little rollercoaster of whether or not I was m/c my entire 1st trimester this pg. Oddly enough, I did have a big of spotting with my first pg...and a bigger bleed with my twin pg at 15 weeks...so for some reason my body seems to like to scare the heck out of me about m/c. This time was the worst though... lots of blood, cramps, clots...intestinal distress...every sign that I was m/c. And my baby managed to hang on. So hopefully you will be fine too!!

i had spotting at the beginig of this pg as well. I also had it with the boys too. i hope that you can find out soon, most insurances will go back and cover nessessary medical treatment and such so maybe you could check into that....it's worth a try, i know mine went back and covered things thwen i wasnt on it b/c it was "neccessary".

    good luck

Spotting isn't necessarily the worst thing! It can be a number of things. The swelling this early is what I find more odd. I hope you can hold out till you have insurance and have it all be ok!!

PUSH THE WATER and GET THOSE FEET UP!

i spotted at 5 wks then again at like 11 wks and im ok now, i would take it easy try to keep ur feet up and as hard as it may seem try not to stress. also i agree with other ladies if u call ins they shoudl go back and cover this because it was necessary for u to see dr, its worth a try (im sorry and i hope everything is ok)

Have you not been covered by health insurance up until now? If you are switching from one group health plan to another, they cannot deny you coverage for anything, including/especially pregnancy. As long as you do not go for longer than 62 days without group plan coverage, you will be covered for this pregnancy. You may be responsible for any costs up until your start date on the new insurance, but that is likely one or 2 visits to the Dr. tops. However, if you have not been on any insurance and you are getting individual coverage and the company finds out you are pregnant, all of your pregnancy- related medical expenses will not be covered. Some private insurance requires that you not conceive for at least 6 months after beginning coverage. Group insurance does not have these restrictions, only private/individual coverage. That is why they sell maternity insurance separate from individual health plans. Hopefully you are getting group insurance.

You really should see a doctor if you are pregnant and bleeding. Bleeding is very common in pregnancy for many, many reasons and usually does not indicate miscarriage. That said, if something was happening a doctor would have to examine you to make sure you are physically okay. I did have bleeding in the beginning of my twin pregnancy and my doc assured me he sees bleeding more often than he doesn't in early pregnancy. They always say to watch out for cramping and a general feeling of illness. I had 5 miscarriages and they were all different in presentation but cramps usually came hours after the bleeding and the bleeding never stopped at all with any of them. My prayers are with you and your pregnancy. I hope it all works out wonderfully. Drink lots of water and get some rest off your feet on your left side. That is the best position in pregnancy, even this early. Good luck

    Prayers to you

    Kelly

I am really really thinking that the swelling is from being on my feet all day yesterday for my brothers wedding.. Finger Crossed...

As for the ins... sorry I forgot to insert the "" I dont have ins at all. I am going to get medicaid on thursday and they cover 100% of everything.... I am going to call in the am and see if they backdate the ins.. I think they do but not sure... But im hoping for a move up in the appt anyway....

At last check the spotting had stopped and its hardly nothing but... it is brown not red aswell... I think I saw that asked earlier.. But it has stopped before and started again.... Im hoping and thinking that its just normal for the begining of pg.. With the boys i didnt even know i was pg yet.. this time around I swear i feel like im 6 m already and look pg too... bloating ans water i guess.. IDK...

thanks for the thoughts and prayers
