spotting again

So once again I turn to you ladies because when this happened a week ago the doctor told me not to worry unless it was red red blood...About a week ago I had a little bit of very mucusy discharge with a little blood in it when I wiped after using the restroom. Then it happened again last night same very mucusy discharge with a little blood, but brownish maroon blood not red blood. I have not had any pain, no tightening of the tummy, no back pain, or any thing else like that. I am worried I am loosing my mucus plug and scared that means I will go in labor way to early HELP anyone please..My doctor is great, but sometimes he is just no comfort. What could cause this?

 

Sounds to me like your mucus plug. I'd be in bed as long as you can.

 

I'm not sure but I started losing my mucous plug around 35-36 weeks or so and I didn't deliver until 39 weeks. Did you let your doc know?

 

I would call your dr to let them know what is going on but several things could cause the spotting.
When I was pregnant w/ our twins, I had a subchorionic hemmorage (sp?) I had some red blood at first but as time went on it became more old blood looking they told me I could keep having the old blood discharge for some time.
You could have a irritated cervix - just from being pregnant. You could have a yeast infection. I hate to ask this.. sorry but
have you DTD lately?? even days ago could cause that. I know any blood old or red is so scary - but it could be something
that is not so bad!! You are in my thoughts and prayers!! please let us know how you are doing!

I am sorry I am not sure what DTD means...I am gonna call the doc again in about 20 min he is at lunch..please let me know what DTD is It is driving me crazy I wanna know what is causing this..So I can prevent it!!!

 

Let us know what your doctor says. It could be your mucus plug. Or if your and DH had sex (DTD) lately that too may cause irritation and slight spotting.

went to the doctor and he checked and my cervix it is still strong and babies look good they have moved to head down position. Thank you to everyone that took the time to answer my question..I still don't know why it happened though???
