Spitting

Lately Rose has been drooling a lot more than usual [..for the past month or so there has been not much drool at ALL] then I noticed two large buldges coming from her upper gums [thinkin they're the small molars coming in]. So okay, she's drooling more now.. so for the past few days I've been used to seeing her face all shiny. Though yesterday I noticed her spitting - she actually spit on my arm AND on to the floor <_< Now where I think that's just gross and unacceptable, she thinks it's cool cause she realized something else she can do..

So what do I do to let her know it's Not OK to be doing this? She's only 11.5 months old and I know that's way too young to discipline her for her actions, but what options does that leave me with?! :huh: I can't re-direct her cause the spit is coming from her mouth. When I realized her doing this [aka: feeling the spit run down my arm like a mini waterfall] I just wiped off my arm and looked her in the eye and said 'no, no hunny, we don't spit'.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :search:

It's probably best to just ignore that behavior. If you give any attention, she will think it's something special. If not, she'll likely drop it pretty soon. Just wipe yourself off and move on, even though it is frustrating!

 

Yup, ignore it. She'll forget she can do it if you don't make a fuss.

 

I agree with the PP's, just ignore it and hopefully it will stop.
