Spitting up?

Olivia has been spitting up more than usual the past few weeks. The first 3 months or so, she NEVER spit up...but now, she spits up after every bottle. It's not a ton and I wouldn't consider it "throw up" but it's enough that it's bugging me. She doesn't seem to mind it. She doesn't cry (not like it would be reflux adn hurting her) and could care less when she does it. But, I'm sick of her smelling like spit up AND it being all over me.

I'm wondering if it's a result of her moving around alot. She wold rather be on her belly to play and will roll over from her back the second I put her down...I'm guessing the pressure on her belly makes her spit up. I've put her in the Exersaucer for awhile after eating to keep her upright, but her leaning forward and pressing her belly on the chair part, plus pushing her feet down and bouncing a big I'm sure doesn't help matters any.

Any advice?? I don't think it's anything "medical" since it doesn't bother her and she eats just fine. Is she just a "spitty" baby? My twins were NEVER ones to spit up. Oh, and Olivia's been on the same formula since day one...nothing has changed. I haven't even started cereal yet...am planning on doing it within the next 2 weeks since she'll be 5 months this weekend.

I would also agree that her new spitting is probably due to her newly found mobility. Can you keep a bib on her to help it from getting all over the place? Spit up is the worst! GL!

Mine started spitting up more once they became more mobile. It's happens within an hour of having a bottle. I just always have a burp cloth on hand to clean up.

Is it a one-time spit up after the bottle or several times? If it's annoying you could change her to the AR formula, that's what I did with mine, and now they never spit up.

My DD is now spitting a little after she eats as well. I agree with it probably being a mobility related thing. I keep a bib on my DD most of the day now.

I normally do keep a bib on her, but just when I think we're safe and I take it off, she'll do it...lol!

It's primarily a one time thing...mostly on her morning bottle right after she gets up. Sometimes she'll have a little more randomly spit out in between, but it's mostly that first bottle and right after.

I meant is it just a one time spit up or is she spitting up more than one time after the bottle?
If it's just one time after a bottle and not very much spit up I'd probably not think anything of it. But if it's more than once I would consider switching her. My SIL has a baby that has to have a bib on at all times and I don't understand why she doesn't just try to put the child on a different formula! (she doesn't have reflux, she just spits up randomly and when she spits up it's A LOT!)

One of mine started spitting up a lot more recently. (They both are spitters; but one is a lot worse than the other.) At their 4 mo check up the pedi said it was a function of both his increased mobility and the increased volume of food. He told us it should get get better....BY THE TIME THEY LEARN TO STAND UP. I almost passed out--as we have a long way to go before they are standing.

I know that's no consolation (it wasn't to me either), but that's what the pedi said as far as why it seemed to be getting worse, not better with age.
