My smaller twin spits up after most feeding. It's not alot, but I'm tired of changing her clothes after every feeding!

Any advice?? I'm using the Playtex drop-ins and Similac formula.

Maybe they have reflux? That is common among babies. We used Enfamil AR (thicker formula) until just recently. My guys were spitting up ALL the time! Call your ped about it.

It's normal for babies to spit up. I have noticed very little difference in bottles and/or formula (formula will help when it's allergy related). If it's not associated with pain, excessive crying, poor growth, etc. it's usually a laundry problem ... and I have / had 3 spitters.

My daughter spits up ALL the time. Our ped is fine as long as her weight gain is on track. We do notice she does a bit better with Dr. Brown's bottles. But in terms of formula, it didn't matter.

Another tip is to burp often.

Congrats on making through the first weeks! But get ready for more spit up and a lot more laundry. Reflux is definitely a possiblity, so keep them upright for a while after feeding and ask ped/nurse for suggestions. I had 2 reflux boys and a major spitter - sometimes projectile. Spit up alone is a lot easier to deal with than the shrieking and arching of reflux.

Anyway, switching bottles and formula is a hassle and probably won't have an impact on normal spitting up.

And ask any well-wishers for help with the laundry!

My Evan was the same way, but he was constantly gaining weight so it was more of a hassle than a worry (health wise). The good news is, it miraculously stopped (for the most part) when he turned about 3 months.

Definitely sounds like reflux. I agree with previous posts, call your pedi and see what he/she has to say. Our boys had reflux at first and the final remedy (after many, many trials and errors) was: Zantac, Similac Alimentum formula, Dr. Brown's bottles and oatmeal cereal added to the bottles to thicken the formula.

Our boys are now 5.5mos old and they seem to have outgrown the reflux part. I've discontinued the Zantac and Alimentum (it is very expensive) but I contine with the Dr. Brown's bottles and cereal in the formula (we now use Enfamil Lipil).

Best of luck in finding your remedy!
