I dunno...seems kinda odd....she's sucking away on the pacifier and spitting up at the same time...some is coming out and she's sucking the rest of the spit up down.

It so gross and I feel so bad for her reflux. Upper GI is schedule for 4/8. Prevacid not really helping, solids not doing a thing, already on soy...we're doing everything right. Ugh. Vent.

When will this reflux just go away already?????

Yes, Blake has done that several times and I thought it was odd also.

Yep-Annabella has done the same as well. When they start to sit up, the spit up lessens. Doesn't disappear though! LOL! Annabella is now nine months old, and she's still spitting up. But I will say it certainly lessens, and for the boys, by 9/10 months they weren't really spitting up anymore.

If it's any consolation, I've stopped putting bibs on her throughout the day. She used to NEVER get dressed until she had a bib on!

    Good luck with the appointment!

For what it's worth, our pediatric GI told us not to use a pacifier for my daughter with reflux because the sucking motion and the extra saliva going down the throat can increase reflux. My daughter was a half-hearted pacifier user, so it was easy to get her to stop (we just didn't place a pacifier in her crib one night and she never seemed to notice). If you can eliminate the pacifier, it might help, but if your daughter loves the paci, I'd probably deal with the potential extra spit up.

As for other reflux stuff... many reflux babies can't tolerate soy formula. Have you looked into Nutramigen or Alimentum? They're way more expensive, but sure do work wonders. Finally, Prevacid never worked for my girl. We switched to Prilosec when she was about four months old and the difference was obvious. Just a couple of suggestions for you in case the doctors haven't suggested a formula or medicine switch.
