After reading the responses to the post about what to do with old bibs, and seeing that people pass them on, it made me wonder if I am the only one still using bibs?!

My guys are still so messy when it comes to eating!!! There is food everywhere~on the table, floor and their booster seat. And the little scoop on the front of their bibs usually has a good amount of food in it too. They eat well, they are just sloppy about it.

So if you are reading this and no longer use bibs, when and how did your children become neat!!!! :umm:

We use bibs sometimes, but that is mainly becuase I hate trying to get stains out of every outfit they wear!!

Definitely though when they are eating pasta, yogurt, applesauce... because they still sometimes miss their mouths!

I agree with Nicole. We use them when eating messy foods that stain easily. We use the disposable bibs most of the time. I do have 2 cute plastic ones that I got at Target in their $1 Spot.

My friend still uses them on her 4-year old... she was the one who recommended the towel pullover type to me. We went through a phase where they wouldn't keep them on and now they're starting to leave them alone again so I'm hoping we'll be able to keep using them for many months to come. It's not that they're particularly messy but using bibs sure makes laundry easier! :D

Mine are younger, but I certainly don't intend to give up bibs anytime soon. I can't imagine eating without them.

We do! We have 6 Bumkins bibs that we have had for over a year now. We use those with almost every meal. I did get rid of all the old cloth ones though.

I don't think I've ever actually used bibs. If they are about to eat something messy I'll pull off their shirts before they eat and wipe them down after. They get a bath right after dinner every night anyway, so I usually pull off their shirts then too.

We stopped at around 9 months with all 3. They were either taking them off themselves or just as messy under the bibs on their shirts so we just stopped. They aren't too messy now. It is just one less thing I have to remember to get out or clean.

My boys won't keep the bibs on so we just strip them down before they eat anything messy and then throw them in the bath!

Mine are almost 3 and we still use unless they are just having a sandwich. My ds is quite a neat eater but my dd still likes to make a mess. We also use the bumkins bibs or bodysuit as my dh calls them. We did get rid of all of our cloths ones though.

I was one of the ones posting about giving them away . . . guess I wasn't that specific. We gave away around 30 or so of the little cloth bibs with the little velcro tabs . . . E & C were pulling those off, and they didn't really cover that much anyways. We invested in quite a few of the Bumkins full coverage bibs (long sleeves and they tie in the back so they're not easy to get off) and we still use those for almost every meal (sometimes not for breakfast or snack if they're just eating toast or crackers). I feel like they're going to be wearing bibs until they start kindergarten . . .

Oh man! We still have to use bibs!!! I use the vinyl one's from BRU!! There's NO way - unless I stripped them down and it's still a little cold here!

I too use the Bumkin bibs, I invested in a few and now only use those! They are great, much bigger and "waterproof"! Now, I really should get rid of the huge stack of older bibs I have

We are almost 3 and still use bibs at least 3/4 of the time. And if I don't give them one they ask for it. It saves us a lot of stains

Lucas and Lynae pull their bibs off, so we haven't used them in a while. Where do you get these miracle bibs that don't pull off easily?

We still use bibs all of the time and our twins are almost 3. I am usually sorry if I forget to put them on.

Mine still wear bibs. Most meals I can just wipe them off with a washcloth, but sometimes they do get really messy. Really it's more to keep their clothes dry b/c mine eat alot of fruit and tend to let the juice run down them!!!

We still use bibs, and actually we use the cloth ones with velcro. For the most part mine love their bibs and ask for them if I don't put them on. They aren't really very messy but inevitably they spill or dribble whenever we don't wear a bib. Actually we usually use the same bibs for days in a row because they don't uaully get anything on them, LOL. But they love them! If they see me folding clothes and there are bibs in there, they insist on getting bibs and they run around wearing them while they play.

We use the pull over the head bibs now(and have been for 2 or 3 months) but Jazz figured out how to get those off to (next I guess she'll be taking off her shirt). The rest of the bibs are put away pending divorce decree <_< I can't do any thing with their old clothes on the point that he might want some of them...

We try to still use the cloth bibs with the velcro closures, but they have learned how to pull them off and they never keep them on through the entire meal. There are times they also pull off their shirts. If one does it, the other one has to follow suit. Anyway, I need to find a new kind of bib that keeps them somewhat clean and that they can't pull off.

I just donated some of their old bibs to their Daycare. They use bibs for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner (unless we are out), since they get a bath right after.
