Ok, so my boys will be 2 in a few months. They are CONSTANTLY wanting and fighting over the toy that the other one has, it never fails! So, my question is do I get them each completely identical gifts or two of something that is similar? Last year it really didn't matter as I don't even think they 'got it'. However, this year I'm a little nervous! I can just see the fights that will start! Anyone deal with this. I also don't want to be dealing with a gazillion toys all over the place! Ahhh....what to do??!!

I'm having this same debate as we start to think about Christmas presents. I want to get them that Leapfrog Tag, Jr. thing, and I think I'll have to do two. It seems so silly to buy two of things though. Usually, we solve it by buying two similar things - two Little People vehicles (a bus and a plane, for example). Or a joint gift (wagon, zoo membership). Or a gift with lots of little parts (block set). But the Tag, Jr. things, I think we'll need two. -_-

Well mine unfortunately will want what the other has, even if it's the same thing... but yeah, I'm a twin and we got the same presents for the longest time... so eventually I think it will be a good idea, lol.

Hmmm...this is a great question! I don't know what we are going to do. They are going to most likely get either a chair/bean bag for their birthday and then a kitchen set for Christmas. I was thinking of doing Mr. Potato Head as a gift. And this topic made me wonder if I need to get two of them! AGH!

I was wondering too... I was wanting to get the girls each a baby doll for either Christmas or birthday and was looking at accessories the other day (there's sooo many!). I really don't have room for two strollers, two beds etc... I know they don't NEED all these things to enjoy their dolls but I just thought it would fun to have some of them, especially strollers which I'm sure I'll definitely need two of. We're also going to get them a kitchen so they will share that of course. I think that it just depends. I like the idea of getting two similar things, like the little people toys.

It totally depends on the item... large items they can share you only need one of, like a kitchen or train table. Some items you need two of, like Cozy Coupes, ride on toys, chairs, dolls, etc. I also think if each child has a doll, then you only need one of the accessories. One can be putting her baby to bed while the other is feeding her baby in the high chair.

Mr Potato Head comes with two adult potatoes and one baby in the set I have, so there's no need for two sets.
