I never saw mine do it much but I know they did it - because I would put them in their crib and check on them 10min later and they were facing the wrong way. I think mine did it buy pushing on their legs and one leg was stronger and would "win" and they would go around in a circle.

Mine did this too. Actually Ana could scoot across a whole room on her back when she was around 5 months old.

Ellie does it every night and her neck muscles aren't very strong. She does a 180 every night. She uses her legs to scoot around the crib. She always ends up banging her head and waking up too.

DD is doing it while practicing rolling. She will roll to the side, then when she turns back, she is turned about 10 degrees. Then after several attempts, she is turned in the opposite direction.

mine are doing it too. I even have those sleep positioner things and they find a way to shimmy out of them and end up facing the corner of the crib sometimes. It doesn't take long to get from point A to point B for them either I've noticed.

Totally normal! Maia did this right around the same age. She was doing 360s on her back.
