Spin: What are your summer vacation plans?

We are going to be heading out to the mountains for about a week. My parents have a condo in the BC rockies so we have been going out there for the last couple years. They have a couple lakes that are swimmable nearby as well as a little train park and spray park.

This year I am looking forward to not bringing the pack n plays and just having the girls sleep in their own room in the twin beds. Also looking forward to not bringing the stroller and taking them on little hikes.


What are your summer plans??

 

We make an annual trip to see my family in SK, Canada, this year we're pulling the camper, and....assuming the campground dries out....we'll be camping for about 10 days. We leave here (SC) July 4th and will be back July 22nd. This is the first time taking the twins camping in our little pop-up, I think they are going to have a blast!

Then in august my bro-in-law is using disney vacation club points to rent a villa at Disneyworld for us, him and my inlaws for a week. First trip to disney for the twins too, my older kids have been once about 3 yrs ago!

Gonna be a busy (and expensive) summer

 

We're planning a week on the coast of OR in a couple weeks at a vacation home that is oceanfront. I can not wait!!!

We also have a Marriot time share that we're using for a vacation at the end of June early July in Newport, Ca. That's a big family trip since we have a ton of family in So. Cal.

I'm also so excited that we don't have to bring Pack in plays and I only have my one in diapers and they all can drink out of a straw and tell mw where they hurt and what they want :woohoo: I am so stoked!!!!

 

We are heading to Cape Cod on July 1 and not coming back until the end of August. I thought this year was going to be easier until a certain 4 year old learned how to ride a 2-wheeler.

 

Camping pretty much every other weekend (weather permitting). Two weeks ago was their first time in a camper and I thought it was going to be a disaster, but it turned out great. I worried they would not go to sleep, play with everything inside the camper and just be crazy. What a difference a year makes. We went tent camping last year and I spent most of my time chasing after them.

Now at almost 3 1/2 they pretty much stayed around the campsite and if they did start to wander off, I could just tell them to come back and they would listen.

 

Work! We just started a new business and are pretty much tied to it. I am in desperate need (so is DH) of a vacation, but I don't see it happening this year. We will just have to settle for weekend trips to the beach and to our Aunts lakehouse.

Everyone else's trips sound fantastic! Have fun!

 

Weekends at the beach (we live close), and a 10 day trip with the inlaws for my niece's wedding (the girls are flower girls,).

 

Back to Europe for the summer, 5 weeks, escaping the heat but mostly horrid humidity here. Going to my parents in Belgium but also driving to Switzerland with stops in Germany / France to see my brother who lives there.

 

we are off to italy for a month, we are meeting up with my parents for the month! I am so excited, I wouldn't have done this trip last year, but this year we dont need diapers, cribs, special foods, etc, etc. I can barely wait!! Italy here we come

 

To go to the hospital and have a baby LOL!!

We have the opportunity to go to Ga for a week when the baby will be about 3 weeks old but that soon after a c section with a new baby, 4 yr old twins and 3 teenage boys mmmm, I don't think so LOL!!
