Just wondering. I'm sooooo tempted, but I've had 2 OB's tell me they think it's really a dangerous choice. But then I've seen statistics that say Uterine rupture is still (relatively) low, about 4-7% in cases where women have done this. Anyone in VA, in particular?

Most doctors won't let you go with a VBAC after a vertical incision. My doctor wouldn't consider it.

Thats what I heard, too. I guess I was just hoping someone else had heard differently. I really don't want a Csect. again. They really suck, esp. when you have two little ones that love to jump and bounce in your lap!

I know, my twins were not quite two when I had my other little guy.

I wouldn't disqualify yourself so quickly. There are providers who are willing to help women with a classical incision. I agree the risk isn't very high and with some support you are likely to have a great vbac. Take a look at this website. http://www.mothering.com/discussions/forumdisplay.php?f=21

It's a vbac forum from www.mothering.com. There are women in that vbac forum who have had vbacs with all sorts of incisions (j, t, classical, etc...). I cannot think of any one person who has ruptured on that forum due to incision type. I know of one woman who ruptured because she had 4 csections. Obviously it's a small sample size, but when you don't involve any induction agents in the birth, you are reducing your risks. I hope you have a great birth!
